As for your last question. 3dsx files aren't commercial games at all. .3ds are used on carts, and .cia on cfw - you can't run .3ds without a cart.

New 3DS on 11.06 with boot9strap.
Zero backup games installed.
I could see all the homebrew apps.
Yesterday I used FBI to install the latest luma updater. After awhile playing Detective Pikachu (game cart), I get an error, sd card not found. Then immediately I could see the Luma3DS configuration menu.
After that, I no longer can see the homebrew apps. I still can enter Luma3DS configuration menu.
Can advise on how to troubleshoot?
Already reboot 3 times (all cold boots).
Also reinsert the SD card.

Thanks for the add.. we have four 3ds consoles in our house. I installed bs9 following the step by step guide on two of the consoles. Mine works perfect but my boys keeps crashing mid game and in different areas of the game.. up to now this has happened on four titles.. the way we have got round this is to delete the game and re download the game via freeshop..
But then he has to start his game again..
I have checked the memory card and it is fine has no bad blocks and is genuine.. I have uninstalled the software and 're installed the software. I have tried different boot files.. with the older boot file I get a error has occoured reboot.. with the newer boot file I get errdisp 32 or 44..
The strange thing is his 3ds will work fine for a few hours then this will happen.. or when he changes the theme it crashes.. have I missed something.

Hey guys, so I took a long break from my 3DS and hacking and need to update stuff to play games such as MK7 and ACNL and go online. I opened my 3DS to check the version today and it says "Sys 11.2.0-35J"
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I remembered last time I checked that it was 11.2.0-35J E though I could be wrong. I had cfw fully installed and up-to-date back in early 2017 and was playing online in summer of 2017 after updating payloads for MK7 to 11.4 or so.
I see a ton has changed with luma, ntr, homebrew launcher, etc. and I just sort of need to know where to go from here updating-wise. My ntr and all the hacks appear to still be working so I'm not sure why now it's suddently showing "sys" with the version. Unless it was always that way and my memory is just fucking up?
I have a n3ds JPN and was able to livestream footage to my comp and I'd like to be able to do that after updating. I just feel a bit overwhelmed with all the new stuff that has popped up with hax and any links/tutorials/tips would be much appreciated since I don't want to fuck anything up.
I know at the time i stopped playing 3ds that nintendo was banning consoles and stuff and I am luckily not banned. How can I ensure I don't get banned in the future though?

- if 8.0-8.1.1 just download the newest boot.firm from https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases and replace the one on your SD card
- if 9.0 you're already up to date
After this update your console to the latest firmware. You can avoid being banned by turning off share system info on network settings, and not using installed homebrew while connected to the net.
Okay, so I have a question. I'm about to get CFW for my Old 2ds running 11.6 firmware. I already have Homebrew via Ninjahax and OoT3Dhax, and I've noticed that many applications (virtuanes, head tracking demo, and all emulators for example) get stuck at the yellow screen. I think this is a firmware issue and want to know if getting CFW will disable it? I mean, is Ver.11.6 different from Sys.11.6? If not, is there any way I can downgrade it? Sorry if this is a stupid question for CFW users and thanks for helping me out (:

homebrew itself is very limited, all the emulators etc work perfectly well with CFW and Virtual Console Inject as awesome, if you want step by step help getting CFW with only a $2 DSiWare game I can help you with the seedminer method
