Hello, I am trying to hack my new 3DS XL using the dsiware system transfer method. I just added all the files needed to my device's SD card and am currently trying to load GodMode9. My old 3DS XL only had Hourglass9 up till now.

I loaded up GodMode9 but it keeps giving me this screen. Does anyone know what this is? I attached the images.

A joke? This is a delicate software that can damage your $200 console and they just joke around like this?

If I had seen anything close to this back when I modded my 3DS, I would be mentally castrated, this joke was in very poor taste.

Wow, seems funny if you know what you're doing but considering how critical this tool is for hacking, especially methods that are supposed to be "noob friendly".... not cool.

Seems you all forget the cakescfw joke. The bootrom error. This is nothing, no harm will come from it. Stop being so uptight all the time and learn to laugh a little. When you stop getting angry/offended about everything you will find the word a much happier place.

I find this hilarious. I'm pretty sure I'd just be like "what in the actual fuck just happened? Oh yea its April 1st"

Well I mean without them it wouldn't exist soooo let them have some fun lol It does nothing until you enter in the combo anyways.

Wow that's fucking hilarious.

INB4 like 50 new threads about "I turned my 3ds off in the middle of hacking it because I saw weird symbols but didn't panic until 30 seconds later when it was restoring my NAND"

5 Stars my dudes, 5 Stars.

As pbanj said, relax people. It's a harmless random boot splash and font swap. Two of them are hard to read. But if you reboot GM9 once or twice, you should get something you can work with. It's nothing that will prevent anyone from completing any (obviously outdated) guides, nor mess your system up in any way. Personally, I love the C64 one.

Any method that has you run GM9 directly is neither "noob friendly" nor up-to-date. There are standalone script runners that can do pretty much anything you could possibly want. It has all been automated now. If you can't find a standalone script runner for a particular guide, I can make you one (not to mention test it with a hard-modded system). Don't follow old guides with manual steps. That's asking for trouble.
