Wii U formats it to own format and can only have 1 Wii U drive. You can have a 2nd hardrive in reg pc format for vwii but need to use ustealth to hide it
As for sd card size idk. I use a 64G

you can't ftp content. if you do, it won't appear on the home menu. and, for the vwii drive, there's wiixplorer that has a ustealth version, but it's easier and faster just to plug the drive into a pc.

It works similar to WUP Installer gx.
The one you mention is made to compliment the pc program of same name and offers some convenience to make easier for newer users
Pretty much u just take ur game folder and put it into a folder called install on root of sd card. Then start WUP Installer and u will see folder name of ur game. Then u can choose to install to nand or usb

Are u talking the Wii Usbhelper transfer tool that’s app on Wii U? If so that’s a WUP Installer in itself. And can be used to install games.
I hope I didn’t confuse you cause there’s a pc side Wii usbhelper and a Wii U side one
They go together as a pair but u don’t have to use the Wii U app one as there are other WUP Installers. So it’s a matter of preference
A lot of users seem to like WUP Installer gx which is what I use but I have cbhc so I have the channel installed on my homemenu instead of going into hblauncher

Thanks I think I know a little bit.
yeah i have the wii u usb helper on my windows computer iv been playing about with it for nearly a week now.
and the wii u helper transfer tool is just like wup installer and the helper tool only install's to nand by default so use wup after the guy told me.
so what im thinking is just use a SD CARD ! LOL

Now that I think bout it I think that’s why I didn’t use the Wii U side of the app cause WUP Installer u can install right to usb instead of having to use disk management and move it over from nand

For sd card I’d atleast do a 64G minimum. Just cause it’s enough room to back up Wii U for recovery which doesn’t need to say on the card after but the extra space on sd card gives u more room to middleman games onto the Wii U instead of many copy, install, wash and repeat

Im new to the Wii U scene.

Can we use the SD card, internal HDD and external HDDs all at the same time and install games to them (both Wii U games and Wii games) and whats the biggest supported size (for internal and external hdds)?

I'd highly just using injects for all of your vWii needs. That way you can store all of your Gamecube, Wii and Wii U games on one drive. Use an SD card for all your other needs. I can't imagine you having issues based on memory size, just be sure you're using quality memory products...My setup is as follows:

-500GB HDD for my GC,WII,WIIU games
-64GB SD for all other systems (Primarily Retroarch - Includes pretty much everything except PS1 and N64 at the moment)

is there any disadvantage in using inject compared to the vWii? I mean when it comes to compatibility and performance with Wii games?

Get an sd card big enough to hold yr retroarch roms
Use a 2Tb wiiu drive for wiiu stuff partitioned by user to exceed 300 title limit
Use an ustealth 8Tb drive to hold everything else on vwii side
welcome to yr ultimate setup
