No need to get upset, there is a lot of new people entering the scene that just don't know, not being able to downgrade firmware is not common among all tech devices, and downgrading IS possible with the ps3, so even people rolling over from there, are not totally in the know without asking, or checking for themselves.
my guess is that the firmware keys for the beta and 5.05 are the same, so you can switch back and forth.
I've read somewhere that you can rollback until the beta is not yet became the new stable.
