that's the thing though, I have everything and everything in PATH is correct, could you share the PATH setup you have for your setup, because I want to test each build of wii64 to see which has the best overall compatibility

@RandomMan25XX it seems your setup is missing devkitppc, because it doesn't even find "devkitPPC\bin\powerpc-eabi-g++.exe"
Or maybe the variable "DEVKITPPC" does not contain the correct path.

EDIT : devkitpro updater does not put anything in PATH variable, which is wrong. That's why you can't compile anything.
You have to add this to the PATH variable (in windows control panel, or by tweaking my batch) :

C:\devkitPro\devkitPPC\bin
c:\devkitpro\msys\bin

You also need ppc portlibs. If you have my devkitpro folder, you can copy "portlibs" folder in c:\devkitpro or if you prefer, you download the latest ones and unzip it in c:\devkitpro\portlibs\ppc\
Then download libfat ogc 1.1.2 and unzip it in c:\devkitpro\libfat\libogc\

I was able to compile latest Wii64GL with latest libogc/devkitpro/devkitppc
Too bad devkitpro updater makes half of the job. It should change the PATH variable itself.

hell, even if you could provide the assembled versions of wii64 that would also work

that's strange, the screen you provided shows clearly that it can't reach powerpc-eabi-g++.exe (in devkitPPC\bin)
For my part, I only installed the latest devkitpro (libogc1.8.17/devkitppc r29.1), added the portlibs/libfat and included in my PATH variable C:\devkitPro\devkitPPC\bin and c:\devkitpro\msys\bin

nothing else, nothing more...and everything compiles nicely.
BTW, I can't build RICE version, because it seems developers have forgotten to fork something in the sources...But I took sources of the test build with Hi res texture pack enabled, and I can compile it fine.

here is my devkitpro setup with sources of Wii64 "normal" and "Hi res" (and with my batch to avoid any PATH problem) : https://mega.nz/#!eI0BnC5a!_H-wBdW8AiDoUgHuJWUdQXhABkRWisPPvrGzjWXZBR8
Wii64 builds (standard GL, Hires RICE) : https://mega.nz/#!ORVEGYJD!z_LAEsB2qoj3-gi7igiawKHMgfS5KQkuLzedm70z4JU

ps : I didn't test these builds myself. I only compiled it ;)

my setup is exactly the same though, I can build 3ds and nds stuff no problem (as well as a few other wii things), but dborth's emulators and wii64 were the only ones to give me issue

I don't think he's updated anything in a long time and the projects all still rely on old versions of dkPro and libogc. I'm going through this right now and trying to updated to the newest toolchain releases. I'm almost done patching SDL-Wii to compile with the newest tools.

honestly I can't be bothered with Wii64 and snes9xgx since Badablek built them, right now I'm focused on emukidid's latest commit of WiiSX from January 8th of this year
nevermind I can't, there's no makefile to even do that

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

in case someone can whip up a makefile for it, here's the github for it: https://github.com/emukidid/pcsxgc

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

as specified before, I have all required files that devkitPro installed as well as any other dependencies required for building

as the title says I am unable to build the latest commit, at first it was because of missing files (msu1.h and msu1.cpp) but now it's due to MAXPATHLEN not being defined, if anyone can explain how to fix this or can provide a compiled copy of the latest commit that would be greatly appreciated

I had the same problem, then I found this on github, just replace your devkitpro folder with the one on this repository and you should be able to compile fceugx and snes9xgx. It work for me.

The latest SNES9X Gx version no longer works on Gamecube, when all versions worked on GC; Maybe with another release (4.3.8) would be fixed for the Gamecube (hope so...)
