Heres the Story so Far

1. Updated Vitashell to 1.82 and Adrenaline to 3.65-7 version on sd2vita card
2. from "henkaku settings" bubble, "unlink memory card"
3. backup "ur0/tai" folder on vita to your pc (easier to re-add entries and plugins)
4. poweroff, remove sd2vita, add official memory, "settings/Restore this System" to factory defaults, delete all memory
5. after restart, disable download and update of firmware from options, go to https://henkaku.xyz/go/ in browser
6. in settings, check, "Enable Unsafe Homebrew", then open up "molecular shell", and transfer "vitashell 1.82.vpk"
7. transfer also adrenaline 6.61 for 3.65-7 firmware, and "updater.vpk" (.vpk files in root of your ux0 folder)
8. put the "PSP2UPDAT.PUP" file at ux0:app/UPDATE365/PSP2UPDAT.PUP, (create the "UPDATE365" folder)
9. install "vitashell 1.82" from "molecularshell", install the other .vpk files from "vitashell 1.82"
10. install "enso.vpk" (install henkaku enso), run and press "triangle" to uninstall the hack
11. after restart, go to, https://henkaku.xyz/go/ to activate henkaku, "unlink memory card" from henkaku settings
12. (enable unsafe homebrew) uninstall enso and the 3.65 updater, and then reinstall the 3.65 up13dater
13. put the "PSP2UPDAT.PUP" file at ux0:app/UPDATE365/PSP2UPDAT.PUP, (create the "UPDATE365" folder)
14. after restart, go to, https://henkaku.xyz/go/ to activate henkaku, now start the 3.65 updater (will ask to add update file)
15. put the "PSP2UPDAT.PUP" file at ux0:app/UPDATE365/PSP2UPDAT.PUP (add the file again)
16. after restart, go to, https://henkaku.xyz/go/ to activate henkaku, now start the 3.65 updater (should install now)

Finally got the updater.vpk to work, yes, I had to do all those steps, and I needed to use an official memory card (8gig). This was on a vita that had enso installed before (with 1 gig internal memory), only thing left to do is to add the plugins to ur0 and then swap out the official memory card for the sd2vita, (the sd2plugin I know was updated to support the official memory card also, but, I don't want to use an official memory card). Everything Boots up fine on 3.65 Firmware with Vita Shell 1.82 going good so far. (vita shell/molecular shell and adrenaline are there, guess I'll see what's next, I also performed the remove feature page mod, but had not problems updating, a mod I plan on doing again!)

Adding Plugins and Links to Config.txt in ur0/tai before adding back the sd2vita memory

This is what the config.txt in the tai folder looks like after install:
...............
# This file is used as an alternative if ux0:tai/config.txt is not found.
# For users plugins, you must refresh taiHEN from HENkaku Settings for
# changes to take place.
# For kernel plugins, you must reboot for changes to take place.
*KERNEL
# henkaku.skprx is hard-coded to load and is not listed here
*main
# main is a special titleid for SceShell
...............

This is my modified version to include plugins for the s2dvita adaptor
...............
# This file is used as an alternative if ux0:tai/config.txt is not found.
# For users plugins, you must refresh taiHEN from HENkaku Settings for
# changes to take place.
# For kernel plugins, you must reboot for changes to take place.
*KERNEL
ur0:tai/gamesd1.1.skprx
ur0:tai/nonpdrm1.2.skprx
ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx
# henkaku.skprx is hard-coded to load and is not listed here
*main
# main is a special titleid for SceShell
*!PSPEMUCFW
# Adrenaline
*ALL
ur0:tai/oclockvita1.2.1.suprx
...............

after adding that config.txt file to the ur0/tai folder and these plugins: "gamesd1.1.skprx, nonpdrm1.2.skprx, oclockvita1.2.1.suprx, i powered off the vita and removed the official 8gig memory card and I reinserted the sd2vita

all my old games and files are present on the sd2vita memory card, I lost nothing, I do have to move some bubbles around, confirmed, that molecular shell and vitashell and adrenaline are still there! (I'm not using anyother plugins at the moment)

Whats next to do? Lots of updates are still being released, some clean up and then game install

installed and ran "VITARW" to remove feature page, by deleting "vs0:/app/NPXS10102", then ran "ANTIBLACKLIST 1.2" for the pstv, you need to install and run "VITARW" to get both whitelists to install properly (if vitarw stalls just close and open the windows using the PS logo button on your controller or vita) (reminder, you need to uninstall the v2 black list from the installer bubble antiblacklist in order to download updates from vita for the nonpdrm games)

This is the config file for "gravity rush", notice the motion plugin entries have been added
....................
# This file is used as an alternative if ux0:tai/config.txt is not found.
# For users plugins, you must refresh taiHEN from HENkaku Settings for
# changes to take place.
# For kernel plugins, you must reboot for changes to take place.
*KERNEL
ur0:tai/gamesd1.1.skprx
ur0:tai/nonpdrm1.2.skprx
ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx
ur0:tai/dsmotion.skprx
# henkaku.skprx is hard-coded to load and is not listed here
*main
# main is a special titleid for SceShell
*PCSA00011
# Gravity Rush USA
ur0:tai/dsmotion.suprx

*!PSPEMUCFW
# Adrenaline
*ALL
ur0:tai/oclockvita1.2.1.suprx
....................

That was it, I've been deleting all those bad games that were ported to vita from steam pc gaming service, all of those tower defense games that have better ports on the pc, some other stuff ..... deleted Rayman!

At this point, I really wish I had just spent the money on a Vita memory card instead of going with MLTHaku. Needless to say, I now have a 32Gb memory card on the way so I can update. Damn they are expensive if you want it new.

MLTactivator.vpk - Removes Trophy Nags (activates vita)

Install and run the program, after restart all your bubbles will be removed, run the trophy app and then close

now poweroff, then reinsert your official vita memory card, remove your sd2vita, and power on (the official memory card you installed vita shell to during previous steps)

go to vita shell and add your config.txt, the one you setup previously for the sd2vita plugin and nonpdrm plugin, the plugins are still in the ur0/tai folder

once you power off remove the official vita card, and insert the sd2vita, all your files are still there, you had to replace the config.txt file to your modified one that was all.

(vita shell isn't installed to your vita, neither was the setup files for the update to 3.65, that was on your official memory card, I haven't read anything that suggests the more secure way, to avoid a brick was to use the internal 1gig memory versus an official memory card) (you don't need to connect to psn to remove the trophy nags)
....................
....................

(Seems pointless for me to try, since I don't have anything, anything that isn't available already on the no-pay-station-database ................. power off, remove your sd2vita, and insert your official memory card, remove the entry for sd2vita, leave nonpdrm there, insert official cartridge and run the game for about 2 minutes, exit the game, and see if a license file was dumped to the vita card for nonpdrm, everyone says it doesn't work to dump games on 3.65, its really pointless for everyone else, if you don't already own it, your not likely to buy it just to dump it! Unless your a True Fan!
....................
....................

The Good News that I do have, is that the Official Vita Memory card, can be used on other vita (tested with two pstv), after using MLTactivator to activate the vita, without a problem (that you used to install 3.65 firmware), so there is some fringe benefits ...................... your Official Vita Memory card should be considered an emergency recovery device, but I guess there is more to be seen by the time we reach 3.67 firmware, but this could be it everything stops at 3.65!?

surely there is an easier way to get sd2vita working

I've successfully installed 3.65 enso, nonpdrm, and pkgj. sd2vita is the last link to making my vita perfect

3.65 enso defaults the sony card to ux0: and places a new tai folder and config there.

Tai will look there on boot first.

You need to check your ur0: tai folder and config is set correctly.

Copy the new gamesd and nonpdrm files in uro:tai

rename the ux0: config file configold

reboot and th sd2vita should work.

if you get a boot loop press and hold the left shoulder button to escape the loop.

Check the tai folder config for errors.

I've done all that. vita was slow to start up, and it said it was only 60 gigs, no 119. my vita memcard is 64gb, my sd card is 128. When I tried to restart, it wouldn't. I had to bring back ux0:tai
maybe my sd card is bad. too many variables, I need a simple installing. I only got sd2vita working before thanks to mlthaku

I dont have the original memory card . Can I install CFW Henkaku Enso 3.65 via website mlthaku.tk like I did before flashing 3.6 firmware using only sd2vita adapter?

No. An official card is required. Once you get updated with Enso, you can then transfer everything over to a SD2Vita only setup.

Best buy one if you want 3.65.

Edit: at least, you need one on a 1k model. Slim and PSTV have internal memory.

gbatemp.net/threads/release-hbinjector.498933/

Switched to the HBinjector, to replace a system app for vitashell 1.82, to avoid using the official memory card as an emergency device, although, i still have vitashell 1.82 installed on the sd2vita card (the point being if you take out your sd2vita card or, it stops working, you can still access vitashell without a memory card) (u still need a official memory card to install 3.65, but after that, you don't need)

For anyone interested, I did upgrade to enso 3.65 from MLThaku the following way:
Note: You still (and most likely will always) need an original MC for the installation process

UNINSTALL MLTHAKU

  1. Backup your ur0:tai/config file as well as you plugins to your PC. (This is opotional, but makes it easier to activate certain plugins later on)
  2. Open ur0:tai/config and uncomment the line with memory.skprx (Don't remember the full path, plz anyone enlighten me ;) )
  3. Download latest Vitashell and enso vpks and transfer them (USB or FTP) into the ur0:ensoTemp/ directory (or any other dir under the ur0 path)
  4. Under Henkaku Settings, disable spoofing (to ensure, also set the 'spoofed' FW to 3.60)
  5. Under Henkaku Settings, unlink memory card.
  6. Turn off your console, remove the SD2Vita-Card and insert your Original Sony MC.
  7. Startup your console and startup Henkaku exploit (by visiting henkaku.xyz) while holding the R button (thus installing MolecularShell to your MC)
  8. Startup Molecurlarshell and install VitaShell.
  9. Startup VitaShell and and install the Enso-installer from Step 3. (With the installer you'll be able to uninstall enso from your console)
  10. Startup Enso-Installer and UNINSTALL enso
  11. Now you have a clean Stock 3.60 Console
  12. Give Thanks to @hellionz who helped me with this problem here.
INSTALL 3.65 HENKAKU ENSO
  • Simply follow either the Instructions on TheFl0ws Github or the pretty well written CFW Vita Guide by @Lia .
  • Please note: Copy the PSP2UDAT.PUP after you have installed the 3.65 installer, as the Installer-installation might delete the file.

(RE-)ACTIVATE MY SD2VITA
  1. (Re-)Insert your SD2Vita adapter.
  2. Download and install the latest StorageMgr by CelesteBlue.
  3. Follow the instructions given on the github (Copy the config as well as the skprx, adjust tai/config)
  4. Set UMA=grw0
  5. Set GCD=ux0
  6. Copy your plugins to the tai/ folder and adjust your tai-config accordingly.
Congratulations, you should now have a fully functional 3.65 Enso vita with your SD2Vita Adapter working again.

kind regards, Sno0t

Is this still impossible to do without an official memory card? It seems odd I've been able to come this far (3.60 enso) without one, and yet become blocked now wanting to go to 3.65 :\

Not to mention $20 for even a 4GB card is absolutely ridiculous

(Brick - I image the memory card is write locked during the install plus other thngs not mentioned, during the install) (it has workarounds for the protections in 3.65 firmware, not to mention the henkaku website isn't supporting a direct install to 3.65)

(you don't need any previous knowledge of hacks on the vita, you just need 3.60 firmware (trails in the sky II cartridge), a visit to henkaku website, install enso.vpk to uninstall enso only if previously installed. But after henkaku website, you can run the 3.65 installer, after making sure vita shell and adrenaline is installed, like the guides states, or else it is off to "psvimgtools", after 3.65 is installed, to place "vita shell" on your system, to add the plugins to the config.tai)

*snip*

This should be "comment" as you're trying to disable it

Edit: Also, memory.skprx will be obsolete when you install storagemgr, so perhaps add instructions to delete that plugin and not try to use it once updated to 3.65
