Qwertyuiopz is saying that he has functioning 5.50 webkit, so (dont do it yet anyone) I would recon we will be updating our consoles to 5.50 VERY SOON

Edit sorry to be clear: webkit = userland not kernel. But its coming.

And as for 5.0x, probably see something for them soon

I'm not sure what you guys understood, but that tweet to me clearly reads as:
- rewrote the available WebKit exploit (same one used with 4.55 kernel and was confirmed to be working on 5.50) so that it's 100% reliable
- Kernel exploit he had for 5.0x was patched on 5.50. (Whether or not it gets released at some point in another issue)

This sounds like the most logical interpretation to me. Reading more into qwerty's tweet, however, does he mean that his 4.55 kexploit is also usable for up to 5.05? He stated, "...old kexploit was fixed in 5.50". "Old" meaning the 4.55 kexploit?

If that is true, then doesn't that mean we already have the kexploit (along with the web exploit) in our hands?

I really do hope you are right, the 4.55 kexploit that was released was private for around 11 months. The way the scene is moving though im sure it will not take that long to surface.

No it was a different kexploit. He had several. He released the one he had for 4.55, but kept the 5.0x one cause it wasn't patched at the time. Now that it's patched, whether he will released it or not is unknown. By "old" he means that it's the same one used, nothing new.

4.55 kexploit was patched after that fw. That's why it's just a 4.55 one, or else it could've just been ported

Speculation. There is no evidence to say he will, or will not do so.

Several exploits were patched before and he never released any. 4.55 is the only recent exception afaik

I just hope it works for 5 50 too (kexploit)since the webexploit works fine.
Devs didn't say anything about it until now

Kexploit got FIXED in 5.50! NOT fixed as in repaired etc for 5.50. Sony fixed it!
Webkit works up to 5.50... Soo if you read between the lines there will be an 5.05 kexploit!
