Hacking Is RGH the right path for me?

I have two Phat 360s.
A Falcon with a Phillips Drive on 2.0.17349.0
and A Jasper with a Phillips Drive on 2.0.16203.0
Scrolling through the forums and looking at the stickied guide, is RGH the best option for me? There's also R-JTag?

RJTAG is depreciated but you can still preform it.

Keep in mind that you lose XBL access if you don't install a Dual NAND.

So would you recommend RGH then? Isn't there multiple versions of it?
I don't really care about online play.

To clarify, what do you mean by R-JTAG is depreciated? People are saying that R-JTAG is the way to go, is that no longer the case?

R-JTAG can still be used but RGH 1.2 yields better results.

Anyway, I'd say solder an R-JTAG chip in the Falcon and a RGH 1.2 chip in the Jasper.
Doesn't matter much tho, they both achieve the same thing.

If you can't solder, take it to a modshop.
The points on the board aren't exactly big.
