I said that, because it was something I did before it worked for me ... maybe, it's just "Close Content" before it breaks or close retroarch.Got saves working by setting the settings -> directory -> savefile to the rom path, but I guess this needs to be done every time you start retroarch, as it doesn't save the settings.
Maybe I'm just dumb and don't know how to use retroarch.
