Save states are unstable by nature anyways. Native saves are often more reliable.

Saving in Pokemon doesn't work
sorry, try go to Settings/Directory/Savefile in retroarch menu and set the path where the rom is.
And launch game.
it tells me if it works
saving confirmed working in pokemon ultra violet. Have not tried anything else yet. idk what you guys are doing wrong.

I said that, because it was something I did before it worked for me ... maybe, it's just "Close Content" before it breaks or close retroarch.
