Yes, there is.
It's more like the DS mode, but you can use the thing to inject almost any GBA game.

That's another story however.
Still games can be injected and ran almost perfectly.

If you're going to nitpick, perhaps you shouldn't argue with Nintendo Support about it? IIRC, Nintendo didn't pursue it precisely because the "Virtual Console" experience wasn't what they desired. Ergo, the naming as VC is right. So, it'd be more accurate to say the lack of expected VC features is the basis for no further progress on their part in that area.

Vita or New 3DS are both really great IMO.
O3ds is alright, but expect occasional annoying slowdowns.

Personally I find emulation on smartphones pretty uncomfortable.

Though, for games that require next to no precision, like RPGs or Tactical games, it works pretty nicely.

Maybe yes, maybe not. With bluetooth gamepad. Can play everything. Any kind of gba games. But almost every interesting. I just finished some years ago. Pokemons, Summon Nights, etc. Now I look for someting new and fresh
