If i go to Debug Settings->Game there comes an Error CE-30129-5. Enter with OK and at the Package Installer i cant even install one PKG. All PKG's i have tried shows Error CE-41798-9, even if i have installed on 4.05 on another PS4. Did anyone have an idea why?

Ok, I’m going to be using internal hdd only and just want to make sure the usb2 thumbdrive I have coming can be used just to transfer the pkg file to the internal drive.

What method/files are you using to load HEN?

Can any one confirm that 4.05 patched games (Horizon Zero Dawn, or Crash N'Sane Trilogy) work fine on 4.55 HEN?

I'm 99% sure they should seeing as its just the version being lowered, and no SDK changes, but a written confirmation would be ideal :)

Thanks in advance!

@Shadowfied

Same prob for me, only small payloads working, pkg install over fullDebugSettings-payload leads to error, no HEN or FTP.
My fault, I used the first version of Cryptogenics 4.55 exploit, downloaded 20 minuts after release on git.
Even I try the current version from his repo and now all works fine for me.

The Problem was not set External Storage as Standard installation. Now i have set it to Internal and there is no problem at all.

Just wondering can you first install to internal, and then transfer to USB external storage without problems?
Sorry I haven't updated yet I could've tested myself.

Move Content to External HDD device: (4.50+)

[Settings] > [Storage] > [System Storage] > [Applications]
Press the "Options" button on the title you want to move and select "Move to Extended Storage.

This would be useful to know, I imagine it acts like the DB mod to run games off external on 4.05, but via an official method on 4.55.

This way it woked for me. Install it to System Storage and then move it to Extended Storage. Game starts from external, but after start an error (CE-38612-0) comes up. When i copy the game back to internal i can start it as usual. So no external HDD Problem.

So you can start, but cannot play from external?

In the Debug Settings, External HDD is only an option to unmount, format and format version. So i think there is nothing interesting here.

Yes you need an external hdd to have this option. You need to have your thumb drive or HDD for installing PKGs formatted to exFat, but the external HDD for PS4 must be formatted as extended storage on the PS4.

I believe the filesystems are different, and arent interchangable.

Yes adding external storage was a big addition in 4.50 firmware. No need to look for a thin expensive SSHD for internal just use a cheap 250 GB SSD + external 2TB and the performance are optimal!
