Pre-Emptive Strike as far as Cluster's Hakchi2.3 and Hakchi2 CE and Prior Hakchi Versions, as well as RetroArch differentials
Be prepared for an absolute ton of confusion! But, I will lay things out to try to make things as incredibly simple for you as all as possible!
If using Hakchi2 CE, any RetroArch in my Core Set will work
So will all of the Cores!
If using Older Hakchi2 Versions, such as 2.21f, etc, you will need to apply the Hotfix from my Core Set, which is in Xtras Folder! I did a video about it here!! Yes, it works for NESC, too!
**SNES Classic - Hotfix + MAME 2003 Cheats**
Now then, if using the New Hakchi2.3 that Cluster released, do not use a RetroArch in my current Core Set. BUT, you can still use all of the Cores! When I post another Update today or tomorrow, I will throw in a RetroArch to use with Hakchi2.3, to make things easier for those who want to try it out! But, for now, you can grab it from
https://github.com/ClusterM/retroarch-clover/releases/
Use just the RetroArch from RetroArch with Cores.zip Drag and drop works. But, I highly advise to just extract, and copy and paste into User Mods folder, instead, for more precise control over which HMODS are available for installation/uninstallation
You CAN use the HMODS that are included, as well as additional HMODS. But, note, they are not all up to date. The ones in my set are constantly Updated on a near daily basis. So, again, if using Hakchi2.3, use the RetroArch from the link I just left, along with my Cores, if you prefer.
The reason for the RetroArch conflicts is due to a new busybox. In the end, the new busybox will potentially migrate over as coding changes to Hakchi2 CE, for those who still want to use that!
USB-HOST, wise, you can still use the Hakchi1 method! You can use Hakchi2 CE, and you can use Hakchi2.3. They all have their pluses and minuses!
Further note, if running NES/SNES with Hakchi2.3, the way I have NES and SNES to run in my RetroArchs does not function entirely the same way. So, bin/fceumm and /bin/nestopia will not work. But, they work with the RetroArchs in my set
Yes, things are confusing! Just keep yourself organized and exercise a bit of patience, and feel free to ask me any questions. I can see hundreds of incoming questions, given the obvious conflicts that are now present
Again, my Core Set is at
https://github.com/KMFDManic/NESC-SNESC-Modifications/releases
Hakchi2 CE is at
https://github.com/TeamShinkansen/hakchi2/releases/
In any case, as mentioned, I will include a RetroArch in my next Update that will work with Hakchi2.3! It will be notated as such! But, the rest of my Cores should be fine, either way
You can continue to enjoy all of the bug fixes, optimizations, performance boosts, accuracy lag adjustments, and so on! I will keep in mind, any feedback, and adjust things accordingly
Sincerely, yours
KMFDManic...
