Hey all, I’ve enjoyed putting various games on one by one..
I’d like to know how I can customise simply with a folder for each console type?

Also, is it right I can only have 60 games in each folder? (I.e if I wanted 120 games I’d need NES1 NES2 etc?) (if I wanted save states and boxart)

Thanks!

MAX 60, but you should really keep it closer to 40-45. Here's a video I did on folders.

Hi, were you the one who commented on the youtube video? Were you tying to put all 3 discs together for an eboot or did you want to add them separately?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

How many games do you have per folder? When you go the the modules tab and then uninstall modules, what comes up in that list?

The folder I am testing with has only 1 game (Atari 2600 River Raid) and was made with custom folder settings. The root folder has more games though... Could it be because of the root folder (which it exits) having too many games?

About the hmods, when I uninstall modules, I just get the list of modules that are in the user modules folder and let me select any module (all unchecked when the window opens)

Oke seems the games in the root were the problem, moved the added snes games to another folder and now it is fine.

But still having the cores issues. How can I for example make a SNES games start with the snes retroarch core instead of the clover app? Because I want to play with more players then 2 in games like Super Bomberman 2.

According to the core i need to use /bin/snes10 but that makes the game not to appear in the list.

It depends on what version of snes9x you have installed. If you just put snes9x in the command line what happens?

When you uninstall the hmod does it fix itself?
no, once I'm at -30MB I have more list of hmod install and I have to do a complete uninstall to reflash the console

Pre-Emptive Strike as far as Cluster's Hakchi2.3 and Hakchi2 CE and Prior Hakchi Versions, as well as RetroArch differentials:)

Be prepared for an absolute ton of confusion! But, I will lay things out to try to make things as incredibly simple for you as all as possible!

If using Hakchi2 CE, any RetroArch in my Core Set will work:) So will all of the Cores!

If using Older Hakchi2 Versions, such as 2.21f, etc, you will need to apply the Hotfix from my Core Set, which is in Xtras Folder! I did a video about it here!! Yes, it works for NESC, too!

**SNES Classic - Hotfix + MAME 2003 Cheats**

Now then, if using the New Hakchi2.3 that Cluster released, do not use a RetroArch in my current Core Set. BUT, you can still use all of the Cores! When I post another Update today or tomorrow, I will throw in a RetroArch to use with Hakchi2.3, to make things easier for those who want to try it out! But, for now, you can grab it from

https://github.com/ClusterM/retroarch-clover/releases/

Use just the RetroArch from RetroArch with Cores.zip Drag and drop works. But, I highly advise to just extract, and copy and paste into User Mods folder, instead, for more precise control over which HMODS are available for installation/uninstallation:)

You CAN use the HMODS that are included, as well as additional HMODS. But, note, they are not all up to date. The ones in my set are constantly Updated on a near daily basis. So, again, if using Hakchi2.3, use the RetroArch from the link I just left, along with my Cores, if you prefer.

The reason for the RetroArch conflicts is due to a new busybox. In the end, the new busybox will potentially migrate over as coding changes to Hakchi2 CE, for those who still want to use that!

USB-HOST, wise, you can still use the Hakchi1 method! You can use Hakchi2 CE, and you can use Hakchi2.3. They all have their pluses and minuses!

Further note, if running NES/SNES with Hakchi2.3, the way I have NES and SNES to run in my RetroArchs does not function entirely the same way. So, bin/fceumm and /bin/nestopia will not work. But, they work with the RetroArchs in my set:)

Yes, things are confusing! Just keep yourself organized and exercise a bit of patience, and feel free to ask me any questions. I can see hundreds of incoming questions, given the obvious conflicts that are now present:)

Again, my Core Set is at

https://github.com/KMFDManic/NESC-SNESC-Modifications/releases

Hakchi2 CE is at

https://github.com/TeamShinkansen/hakchi2/releases/

In any case, as mentioned, I will include a RetroArch in my next Update that will work with Hakchi2.3! It will be notated as such! But, the rest of my Cores should be fine, either way:) You can continue to enjoy all of the bug fixes, optimizations, performance boosts, accuracy lag adjustments, and so on! I will keep in mind, any feedback, and adjust things accordingly:)

Sincerely, yours:)

KMFDManic...

**UPDATE 2-23-18**

NOTE: If you have trouble changing UI, it can easily be done by installing CloverApp from my Core Set, xtras, hakchi2 folder, then applying like in the video.

Gambatte now handles all GB/GBC Games with /bin/gb & /bin/gbc And, MGBA is preferred GBA Core (Thanks to InsertCookiesHere, superGeekSquad, and all else who pushed for this change:) Lag Input adjustment for Standard RetroArchs (Thanks TheAponte for the request:) Lag Input is great for saving frames in Speed Runs:) Updated several other Cores, per usual, with bug fixes, optimizations, etc! Once I am caught up on everything, I will add to the Arcade Compatibility, with another Update! I will also be attempting to Merge all 3 Mame 2003 Variants into 1-2 Variants, at most:) FFight, Standard Combined, and possibly Sys32 Separate. Not sure if I can properly merge all 3 without a conflict. But, I should be able to get at least FFight and Standard together! I have a few new Videos posted, fulfilling User Requests. Be sure to check them out:) Enjoy the Update!!! PS, I will keep fulfilling more User Requests:)

**SNES Classic - RetroArch 1.7.1 - Change UI**

**SNES Classic - MAME Controller Frustration!**

**SNES Classic - Gambatte / mGBA Change:)**

And, the Update:)

This is the command line for my sega 32x games which aren't working:

/bin/32x /var/games/CLV-3-SYDCW/After_Burner_Complete.32x

Any thoughts?

Hello good morning from Spain, I would like to ask if there is a core that allows to emulate Neogeo with CHD filetype and if there is a core that allows to emulate PSX with CHD filetype.
Naturally for our snes mini.

Thank you

So currently I'm dealing with 2 problem for PSX:

- 1st is the one I've mentioned which seems after EBOOT for FFVIII, hakchi doesn't allow me because it seems has limited 2gb of size and FFVIII has 2.1gb.

- 2nd is regarding Gran Turismo which has 2 cds but with different purposes (Arcade and Simulation mode)
> does this mean you will add separate cd to hakchi? if so how do you handle memory cards on different adds
> would you still use eboot? when I run the game it is in Arcade mode, how do I switch it to Simulation (other cd)?

- Probably the last thing for now is the graphics which seems kinda low. Is there a settings to make it at least a bit better?

Any reply or help will be appreciated!

Few more problems to be fixed and my nes mini will return to my living room! :)

I would just do Simulation Disk. Is is the more fun one where you earn money, Upgrade vehicles, etc. I never cared for the Arcade one.

For FFVIII, make a txt file on your computer, rename it to eboot.pbp Make sure your computer shows hidden extensions. Add that fake eboot, normally. Afterwards, overwrite it in the directory with the 2gb plus FFVIII one.

- Yes that make sense! Can't remember if I played Arcade before so Simulation it is :)

- Ok that's what I did but the game is just getting black screen then exiting for few sec. I will try an alternative if there is

So far FF8 and Tomb Raider (hangs on game start / black screen) are having a problem

You need to make sure command line is proper. If you copied to USB, before closing Hakchi, it is likely incorrect.

/bin/psx or /bin/pcsx Did you get any other PS1 Games running?

Yes, similar parameters to the other psx games, double checked the directory, filenames everything.

Yes I'm almost going 50 psx games now lol.

Tried USA and Europe version. Looks like I missed something...

I have not understood what it is "usleep fix" in v.2.3 yet.
is it related to the problem of overheating?
Since I do not care about the usb mode, should I upgrade to this version or can I stay with the 2.21f?
