Hacking Ps4 Hen 4.05 crashed and lost all savegames

Hi there, My Ps4 4.05 is always crashes, as I know It is normal but sometime, after it crashed, all savegames lost. Just post here if anyone as same as me. Sorry for my bad English. I used some payloads which block auto 5.05 update, unlock web browser, and usually load up Ps4 hen via sce.party/ps4/hen/ (it is no need PC)

Next time: Ftp and back up system_data/priv/mms app.db and appcont.db and your save games after each PKG install.

Ps4 crash: can you describe how and when? Is it replicatable?

I know if you run hen, close and run another payload it os panics and shuts down, then you need to turn on > shut down (not restart) > turn on > run hen one time to get it working again.

Yeah,I have crashed and lost save about 3-4 times, I remember the last time It crashed and lost saves is when I had just installed Horizon. I played Horizon about 30 minutes, shut down ps4, the next day turn on Ps4 run hen and Ps 4 crashed, all saves lost except the Horizon save.

How did you shutdown? Rest mode?

strange... i can understand the console crashing and then the games not appearing, but the save files actually getting deleted? that's really annoying.
if the games simply stopped showing up (but the data still exists) you could just get the saves via ftp.

maybe a nice idea for a homebrew, a save file backup thing.
or... a modified hen payload that also backs up your savedata folder every time you hack the ps4 :) - that's a good idea i think.

Yeah, I don't have laptop or pc near the ps4 and, each time load ps4 hen I have to borrow a laptop, but I found a way load up Ps4 hen via sce.party/ps4/hen/ (it is no need PC), but very sad sometime all save lost with no reason make me feel like lost my girl friend. I found on goole and some forum about ps4 hen, there are quite people just like me and I make a thread for some one have this problem. I think this is a bug of Ps4 hen, I also hope in future exploit in 4.05 will stable.

Stooged over at hax made a payload that backs up the db files, shouldnt be too much of a stretch to back up saves too, I dont think 4.05 did usb back up of saves, I think its was 4.50+

Perhaps someone could get the *enable USB HDD* debug option working and maybe there are options in debug for saves? (Wishful thinking)

@silverbret9 have you tried another payload rather than spectredevs?? Or hosting from android or ios device? I have crashed mine out heaps tesing payloads and accidentally putting it in restmode, and never had any issue with saves or even DB files.. TOUCHWOOD!

Vortex-hen is the one I use daily.

you should update your PS4 to get more stability™, otherwise your PS4 will always crash.

LOL, the firmware he is on has nothing to do with the system crashing.

To the OP, I have never had this happen to me, though I use ps4exloipt via the pc and the userguide on the ps4--always. I do get crashes once in a while--that is expected, but never have experienced a loss of any data.

Did you report the bug to the dev? Post over at ps4hax as that seems to be the central place for all things ps4 exploit related and you will likely get a better response there as that is where many of the devs hang out.

Cool I'll look into it. Is OP hosting locally or another site i wonder. Never had an issue with my two different setups

Stop using the exploit site if it causes loss of savedata, that should not be happening.

Use the DNS 108.61.128.158 and goto User Guide at top of Settings. Web browser is not even needed.

That is cool to enable hen but how do you send custom payloads???

As a note for future users reading this thread having the same problem:
Remember to use the application database and savegames backup payloads before and after installing a new pkg.

This will allow you to recover everything you had even in the event the application database or the savegame database corrupts in a failed HEN execution.
Also for stability's sake: Remember to use the latest version of the PS4HEN.
