I can confirm the soldering points "consolex" posted. For GND I used the side of the game slot. (soldered directly to the side of the game slot metal frame)
I used the Anker ((68UNMCRD-B2U) : Realtek RTS5306) to dump the NAND 3x and wrote the patched NAND without problems.

Edit: I have the EU N2DS XL (from Germany)

With a hardmod that doesn't have port for SD, is there another way to flash nand? Can updates render the hardmod useless?

After test it's good ;)

Sorry for this but I solder perfectly each pinout and test the contacts via HT327 sensitive tester. I'm a technician and this solders is not a big trouble for me so, I can guarantee that the microSD adapter and 2DSxl pinout are clean and soldered well.
When I power on the console It boot up normally in the Home menu...
What is wrong in this?

1. Soldering ( despite what you say )

2. did you hook it up to a sd reader?

Nope, becouse i thinking that before connect it to USB/SD adapter, the 2DSxl must power on in blue screan for a confermation that it could be in "readable and writable" state, isn't it?
I read the guid in this site "[Guide] Noob guide to Wii U hacking"
*Of course, the pinout are soldered to the "microSD->SD" adaptor like the scheme. |+|dato|GND|clk|+|cmd|+|+|

*UPDATE: ok, i've insert the microSD adaptor to the USB Card reader and then power on the 2DSxl, i confirm that it work. I had miss this particular.
Now that is connect to the card reader It power on in blue screen for "readable and writable" but when i connect the card reader to the PC, the PC don't find anytihing...my card reader is not a compatible card reader. I see the list in the guide and it is no in the list...

Anyone know what is the different between those card readers? only the chip?
