Happened to me too. I was one of the main contributors there and a lot of the games posted were mine. hausofpain. I tried everything to make the scene better. I opened spreadsheets with game dump names, titles, size of dump, PKG, time elapses,etc and gave feedback and testing results so that the developers like XVortex could improve their tools. I spend tons of time and money so that people would have their games. I tried opening threads that could be stickied in order to clear clutter and since he seemed to not care, I bought a VIP membership just so at least my games would have proper links. It came to a head when people started complaining that my new rip of Yakuza 0 didn't work. Come to find out, instead of deleting the non working links, he added the new ones as a mirror. So people were downloading the broken one. I told them the truth that I didn't know why the old ones weren't deleted and replaced. A job that takes ten seconds. I see a rant two days later he did of basically he was on there twelve hours a day and didn't want to do it and if I didn't like it, to shut the fuck up. So, I told him off in a nice way, reminding him that I've done nothing but help him out and didn't deserve the rude comments. That since he didn't want to edit the links, that I bought a VIP membership so this way I could edit my links for reuploads and what not and he would have money to support the site. A win win. But, not to this motherfucker. I go back there to create a thread for a game I uploaded, and I find out that not only am I banned, my IP is banned, and he's closed registration. All because I guess he felt threatened that his so called moderators and himself couldn't do as good of job as I was even without mod status. I don't know. I do know that it seems he's self sabotaging the site so he doesn't have to run it anymore since no one wants to buy it. How else could you explain his actions, the registration close, the FOUR MINUTE TIME BETWEEN POSTING COMMENTS, and the lack of upkeep? To me, the sooner that cancer of a site is gone, the better. I just hope his actions don't scare off the devs who are busting their ass to give us all this cool stuff. I'd love to work with the devs personally if I can to continue supplying them with games and info. It just sucks that while I got my five dollars back from the VIP, I'm never going to get back the time and money I spent on games, subscriptions, and file hosters to give people all these titles.

The guy definitely has some issues. What I noticed is, that if you go to the Members page, and it shows you all the "moderators", one of them says "owner". I wonder if he is aware that this conflicted character is running his site? also, i didn't know they were trying to sell, nor that they had no one that wanted. i can tell why.
as far as which hdd, i got the good ole usb seagate backup plus for like $110 at walmart at midnight (bc i ran out of space at 11pm). ripped it out of its enclosure ofc. i have one other of these drives that is full of stuff (full). great drives. i shoved that one into my gaming/every-emulator-and-rom laptop which has 2 hdd slots. i also took out the dvd drive and threw in another drive... anyway... im quite off topic.

oh hah, not a 9mm. i opened the case, warped the metal framing a bit, scred the hdd tray in first, and placed the frame over it. then i put the plastic covers back on, and re-attached the removable hdd cover thingy. if you do this, dont tighten the screws too much, you dont want to warp the boards! do it just enough to secure the screw with no extra "umph" if you look at the back, you can kinda see a distortion on the hdd cover thing. other than that it's great.

I'm sure that's why he kept giving me the run around about a staff position. He knew I'd make most of his excuses null and void so he couldn't hold his pity party anymore.
It's like I didn't know that doing nothing makes one person so tired out. It sounds like piss poor excuses to me, except for the DMCA part. I'm sure he's getting them up the ass, especially now with the PS4.

If you guys have some free time, you can search old posts on psx-scene (don't know if I can post link yet) as the founder(s) had a big feud with him when the PS2 was at it peak if not before, IIRC it was related with an overtake of a domain name (ps2hax I think)... ^o^

Guess I'll throw my 2 cents in since I was banned. I am EvilMorty and he pulled the whole one thread for all releases on me, thirty minutes after he posted that rule. Gave me a warning when I uploaded a game stating that a thread already existed for that game. Told him that different Title ID's dictates different games. I don't want to be notified someone else's rip did not work and get blamed since my rip was in the OP. PSXHAX is power hungry and wants easy money behind his paywall. Everything opens up when you become a senior member except for EDIT. In which case would 'ease' his "12 hours" of stress. First off he's not on there 12 hours. I'm lucky right now that my current job, I can linger on these sites since I'm the IT guy. I've seen at a few hours at a time. That's why all my games on MEGA is gone. They didn't get taken down, I deleted all of my MEGA accounts that had those games in it. I'm not sure if I'm going to upload again since I'm done dealing with power hungry/drunk jerks like him.

Yep, I heard many of these excuses too. It's like I DID try to help him, tried to implement all this stuff that I WOULD'VE MAINTAINED MYSELF, but no, then he can't start his pity party, so I guess it didn't sit well with him. I have an IP changer and temp mail at my disposal. I'll make several accounts when he reopens so if he bans me from one, I can just change the IP and do another. Fuck that piece of shit.
FUCK MAN. YOU TOO?! Shit, you and I were probably some of the hardest workers on that site. I took some games from you too, so thank you for them. I cleared out a 4TB to keep all my games and the ones I downloaded so I can reupload them at will for anyone who wants them, even the original uploaders. So, your games are safe with me, at least the ones I grabbed. I still plan on ripping though in the hope that a better site comes along. I got referenced to this french torrent site, so I'll probably start uploading games there since most of my uploads were put there anyways from PSXHAX.

@Tilde88 @skydancer93 @seanp2500 - glad that you appreciated my uploads. I was already back on that site a few minutes after I was banned so I could grab some links that I had missed. Don't understand the point of an IP ban on any site since you can get free proxy plugin to bypass any site protection. I have been ripping tons of games and after I rebuild my network, I will upload them for release. I'm going to use the web archive site for my uploads so anyone should be able to get those without dealing with any kind of limit. I have other homes that I used to post other console rips and I'll post my stuff over there. I'm under this handle and not evilmorty on the other sites. As soon as my personal life levels out (just got a new job where I will be training to be a manager for a local software company), I'll make a splash again with my rips. I'll still have access to free PS4 games at my current job, even after I quit. And if ppl can figure out the newer firmware dumps, I have those ready to go. Thanks again!
