I saw that post as well, but the hackers who released that on Wii U are certainly more trustworthy than Team f0f.

That's not hacking
That's using an already existing kernel hack for the console to redirect the use of the kernel image to the one of Linux.

I see this gets attention but not the fact the Wii U has a full blown version of Linux running and is released doesn't make the front page? Okay. Totally not ass-backwards logic at all.

Never mind that they actually released this, notice how it wasn't teased? Backwards logic indeed, but yes, go ahead and give attention to something that hasn't even been out yet. Totally ignoring the Wii U when teased with something is precisely the reason why Team F0F is full of it.

I understand that, I'm not downplaying the achievement. But the Wii U is an older console, the Switch has already sold more in its first year than the Wii U has in its entire lifetime. So I'm not surprised that people are more interested in following the Switch scene.

Well people are more worried about the attention whoring team of fuckbags aka fail0verflow rather then work from devs that actually benefit the community, instead of causing tons of drama to drive up hype for something that will never. fucking. be. released.

We should focus on what's available than feeding their ego. Once the Switch Linux is released, we'll go from there.
I also worry a bit about the Wii U scene. sure, it only sold 12 million units but with the right software, it's damn good hardware. I guess the major issue is translating things to Power PC. Last time I checked, not many developers are making programs with Power PC in mind. It would be nice to see what type of Linux games can be played on both Wii U and Switch.

You'd think that they would at least give some insight on how this was achieved, but that's giving too much credit. Never mind releasing it, info about how to do it would be nice, but this is f0f
