Yes having online would have been great, but honestly for scrabble the cpu with its access to every word in the dictionary is as tough an opponent as you can get anyway, so no big loss. I also like the anagram mini game that helps build your vocab. The only complaint i have so far is that the dictionary used is a bit iffy imo. Im no scrabble veteran, but it seems kinda arbitrary on what words it accepts, ie. "vocab" and "te" (musical note) are allowed but "econ" and "june" are not. Still worth a go if youre looking for a true "brain" game.

I am digging this game, although something odd happened when I was playing career mode, the 2nd oponnent in the local tournament put FAG down... I thought....hmm faggot is a ball of chopped liver ? who knew ?

They just need to do "find and replace" on S's to Z's and fuck off every U (as well as cutting out about 30% of the words).

i very much doubt anyone knows this but can someone tell me if this includes the full latest SOWPODS dictionary? without it this game is pointless.
as for the USA version - the official word list is different they use TWL rather than SOWPODS.

also - does the game offer an option just to check words? when playing on a real board it would be awesome to have this to use for checking challenges.

I don't think so, it says it's based on the colins dictionary.....it gets rather hard later on...im not familiar with the scrabble scoring system...anyone care to explain the colors ?

Could someone who has finished it and unlocked everything post their save here? I totally suck as this but would like all options open. I can't get through the timed career mode levels.
Each letter has a number of points associated with it, add them all up for each word.
Light blue = Double score for the letter placed on it
Dark blue = Triple score for the letter placed on it
Pink = Double total word score
Red = Triple word score (except the one in the middle that you start on
and 50 extra points if you use all your tiles up in one move.
My GF has been playing this alot and keeps making stupid words and names and slang terms that I thought were not allowed in proper Scrabble..
Is there an option to change the rules to make it the same as the board game? I haven't actually looked as she has had the DS ever since and ruined my chances of finishing Tingle this week lol.
