Anyone here with any knowledge will tell you this has to be a modchip. Full stop.

Knowing tx, it will eventually come at best, as a quick solder board. Again full stop.

V-temp, care to give us the status on what console and what the range of suffered failure and or longevity issues was. Obviously due to modchip installation outside failure in the installation itself and user error.

This is great news for the community from a reputable team, although have it noted, the team is not quite the same as it was in their last hardware production. That said, there is no reason to doubt this news at all, given our current understanding we have every reason to believe its here and will be available soon.

Like it or not.... This WILL be the plarform that properly launches, expands and supports to eol the switch homebrew community in an all encompassing manner. Again, a full stop statement.

i usually dont have a reason to post to these threads or have any reason against hardware mods but i really hope for a software solution to avoid scalpers, really i am quite mad at the way of assumptions of what it will be while we dont have a clue ,hope scene will release a software solution and burn the chips, i bought gateway upon release and ve been a beta tester of them for as long as they where to the scene ,till they stopped responding to my emails or sending me beta software . Again i installed custom firmware with no hardware mod via ntrboot and i expect switch scene to evolve so fast that no hardware mod will be needed ,it was a pain to glitch a 360 and there was a pain to avoid bomb firmwares when clones emerged....

I love all these early attempts to capitalize on an unknown hack method....and in the wrong forum, no less.

All I'm saying is that your gonna need micro soldering, have you guys seen the size of the switches PCB? if you think you can get this better/cheaper somewhere else then by all means, do it! I'm leaving a stamp because I see a high likelihood of the need. My solder is shiny because it is not oxidized, I prefer to use SN63/PB37. (PS, all reballs use lead)
MY advice is not to advertise to a bunch of people who say that its easy to solder. yeah, anyone can solder, but get a good connection? not accidentally drop a huge drop on 8 connections in a quarter inch area? I would rather trust someone with experience than my self. if its a clip in or flash cart, sure, solder? not my thing. I can solder, but I'm not soldering my 300 dollar beast. maybe some direct connections that I can easily replace for a nickel or two.

Perhaps a mod can clean this up and move it to the appropriate forum? It's kinda gross seeing these attempts at gouging members in the homebrew section.

I'm not against offering a specific service for those in need... but really? 100 bucks for that? My local phone repair store would charge 40 at most and give much more than 30 mere days of warranty.
What a scam.

it's not that hard to solder you know. i never soldiered in my life yet i had no trouble doing it when i built my visual pinball cabinet. you just need to watch a few videos and your an expert :P
I hate to say it, but soldering only becomes somewhat easy when you have the right tools. My first iron i couldnt do a damn thing with. My second iron was better but still sucked. My most recent one u spent some good money on and this thing makes soldering so much better.

When you have crap tools then you will do a crap job. When you have good tools you can still do a crap job. It does take patience and skill to do micro soldering.

Good luck to the OP on your endeavors. Its a tough market when you have a low post count the community doesnt know you from a hole in the wall.

Btw. Where did that saying come from? "i dont know you from a hole in the wall". My only thought is it has something to do with glory holes.

Guys ,just watch a couple of tutorials on youtube that you ll be good to go, no need for panic. People make those obstacles just like this dude said the switchs got a tiny motherboard and stuff and thats all just to scare you off of it. Its easy, just do it slowly and carefully.

Jeez guys I think 100$ is a decent price even for the most poor homie. It's just a price of Botw (60$) and MK8D (40$). Don't be greedy.

Just want to know who's ready to pay 100$ for installation of the chip only to get to see the xecuted boot screen for now. Not me.
