Could you specify? Will we get proper CFW tomorrow or what? No need to hype it, if it's nothing useful...
I found another leftover fat PS4 in a local store and bought it right away. It was a bit expensive compared to what I could get over the internet, but knowing that it's low fw is what justifies the price for me.
I did see CUH1004A on the box, but never expected it do be 1.76

You can find a lot of these fat models here. People in my country are so poor that few can afford a PS4, and stores often don't manage to sell them.
Since I now no longer have use for the one I bought last month, I'm willing to sell it for the same price I paid for it ($360).

soo i only read the _whole_ thread AFTER ordering a CUH-2016A... by now i know there is no guarantee for this revision to be <4.05.^^
my question is: has anyone ever gotten a CUH-2016A with a firmware HIGHER than 4.05?

Model means nothing, check for manufactured date or buy a bundle.
It was released on 2017 so I'd say it comes with higher firmware.
No one has reported about that bundle so far, but going by the release date it COULD/SHOULD be below 4.05.
Arrggg, new to PS and just received the PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB Console - Star Wars Battlefront II Bundle at Thanksgiving. Will have to check it when I get home to see what version but don't think it'll be good.

Damd, i had it new in box for 1 or 2 months waiting and than soo sad becouse its was higher than 4.05
