Yes, exactly, no need to edit anything in the desktop file (atleast for NES games) haven’t tried RetroArch yet because I first wanted everything to work, maybe I’ll try that tomorrow.
So far I have tried Sega CD, Genesis, Master System, NES and Playstation games through RetroArch. All work fine without editing any desktop files.

Everytime I add more games, shift + sync to th directory of the flashdrive (hakchi/games/), I always receive "the folder isn't empty". If I continue, the sync would only take a flash, then it's just done, but resulting none. Thus I always delete everything inside hakchi/games/, otherwise the sync won't take effect.
Is it normal to have this?

The ones in my Core Set work fine. Which way are you exiting RetroArch?

I have tried both methods and yours fail to start once I select a game.

I exit using select & down. Even if i press start & select and exit from the retroarch menu i get the same error. This is not using yours as yours don't even start

The problem isnt in the cores. It is in your setup, command lines, etc. What is command line for a game you are trying to run using Genesis Plus GX?

It happens for all games apart from Snes which kinda makes me think it's retroarch as the genesis game starts but c8 on exit. I am only testing one game per format at the moment and it's happening to them all

RetroArch is not the problem. The setup is. It needs to be done a special way. You should show me a command line for something you are attempting to run.

I cant see how it can be the command line unless the command tells it what rom/emulator to run and what to do when i exit a game. I would of thought its just to load the rom, which it does but not using your core.

I got your private message and will better assist you. Command line means everything in giving me an idea of what you are working with.

Hey, I could use some help
I am trying to get USB to work on a PAL SNESMINI, I have flashed everything in hakchi2, installed my mods (retroarch,PCE,MEGADRIVE etc), then go to hakchi-gui and followed KMFD cheat sheet, everything goes as it should,
Games are on USB and showing when I boot SNESMINI but for the life of me I cant get PCE or MEGADRIVE/GENESIS games to load all I get is a black screen and I have to reboot,
Any additional SNES games I add to USB are working fine so it seems that RETROARCH + Mods arnt working.

I have uninstalled to stock and tried it over and over about 10 times, I have even tried installing mods again using 'transfer' folder on SDCARD and via hakchi-gui and its still the same.

Any advise would be massively appreciated..
Thanks

ok so I have got a bit further, it seems to be down to the rom naming? I am using goodsets with '(U) [!].gen' etc on the ends of them, if i remove these special characters the games work just fine, the strange thing is if I load one with the special characters manually via retroarch (start+select) load game, they work fine, is there an additional hmod I need to install to load these directly from the SNESMINI menu?

Thanks again.

Just remove special characters from all your roms and you'll be fine. :)
