I had a new 3ds xl that I had CFW and my sons regular old 2ds has CFW so I know how to install it using my flashcart but then I broke the screen on my 3ds last week. I figured since I don't use the 3d anyway I would just go ahead and buy a 2ds xl so its on its way. But one thing got me to thinking the speakers are the magnet that puts the 3ds to sleep and the speakers on the 2ds are in the bottom so where do you put the magnet when putting the 2ds xl to sleep for that part of the process?

It's around, maybe just slightly above the area the X button sits. To do mine I had to use the magnet to hold down the X while booting into the B9S installer because of where the magnet sits. It'll take you a few tries. Don't worry. Keep at it

Also to note for anyone looking for a magnet that works well on these. Those plastic clips with magnets on them that businesses hand out as freebies have the perfect size. You have to pry that metal cover off and then there is a smaller magnet inside that is about the same size as one of the buttons on the 2dsdl
