Yeah I have been trying to see if dual-boot can be done on a NESC as most guides start on the SNESC.
Trying to find a SNESC EU firmware/kernal dump is proving difficult.

I thought I could first convert me NESC to the SNES and then follow normal Dual-Boot guides.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to find the snes classic nand-b dump (nand.sqs)? The instructions say it can be found on torrent sites but I am unable to find it anywhere. I know download links can't be posted here, but could anyone direct me to which forum/torrent site that has this? I am, too, trying to transform my nes mini to snes. Many thanks in advance

what you not unterstand?

with 2.20 the original games and the added games and saves are on the same Storage space.

with 2.21 the original games are on a other nand space that is only read. they dont take memory away
the added games are on the regular space lie the saves and have more space because the original games are not in that storage space.

No, that is wrong.
The original games have always been in a read only partition. And no games were added there by hakchi.
Hakchi always creates a second, empty "games" folder in the writable NAND and virtually replaces the original (read-only) games folder in the file system (overmounting).
In this state, canoe would find and display no (0) games, since the new folder is still empty and the original folder is not visible in this place of the file system any more.

The difference is as follows:
- the first SNES versions of hakchi 2 copied all original games to the new games folder in the writable memory, so they become visible again for canoe. This wasted space unnecessarily.
- the last SNES Versions of hakchi 2 only create these files as links (very small) pointing to the respective games in the read-only memory.

what you not unterstand?
beschäftige dich erstmal wie speicher und computer funktionieren.
aber das ist wohl noch zu hoch für klick kiddies
Trifft eher auf Dich zu ;-)

Next i'd like to see running the os on some thing other then the mini consoles having the os work on a raspberry pi would be cool

First port should be to softmodded WiiU, as both (S)NES mini as WiiU run on ARM processors. But well, happy with my SNES mini and Hakchi2 from Cluster atm for sure!

thats a feature that came with 2.21B.
at 2.20 the original games takes a part from the space where you add the games.

Liriel as far as I'm aware (based on what others discussed many pages back) the stock games have always been in a read-only protected part of memory (read-only as in nothing can be moved, there or modified). The only thing that can be done with them is make them 'hidden' so they don't show up in menu when the system is loaded.

Otherwise we'd be able to replace the stock roms with something else (possibly unpatched roms), and if we could prevent the auto-system patching we could get rid of the epilepsy filtering/censorship etc.

There however may have been 'two copies' of the game one in the read-only, and another in used space at one point?

Someone has gotten it to work on Raspberry PI its discussed many pages back. There is a link to a thread. Sorry I don't know where its at at the moment. However they said it won't work with Retropi.

Guess he'll figure it out in 3 pages! Or a tutorial... nah! He's still among the most polite people asking for help!

My, it's so very nice to be so loved and admired in an online community with so many acquaintances, no really. I'll be sure to contribute more often on this thread, you know, since you seemed to enjoy my insight and suggestions. Anyways, I've been enjoying my hacked Snes Mini for the past two weeks flawlessly, thank you.
