delete this " -rollback-snapshot-period 600"

only when you use rewind.
but time sould reduce it too

the filesize is smaler when its only 10seconds.
the filesize is 0 when you not play the game and not take free space.
What size is it for 10 seconds (i.e. -rollback-snapshot-period 100) ?
Also, does it work as a global command? :o
(I'm really interested in this.)

yes periode 600is 60 s rewind
100 is 10 s

Thanks for clarification! :)

... so, if I understood well, to reduce the savestate size you need to set the period value to 100 or less, if you set the value to 300 or 200 does the savestate size remain unchanged ?

There will be no fixed rewind length due to how the feature works.

600 will set a "rewind spot" every 600 frames (10 seconds). The rewind feature will allow you to rewind through the last 4 rewind periods plus the one you are currently in (the 5th).

150 will give you at least 10 seconds of rewind (10-12.5 seconds)
120 will give you a maximum of 10 seconds (8-10 seconds)

Do you confirm that the file size is smaller?
In fact my problem is very simple. We have something like 260mo. 180 mo would be used for 4 saves with the 21 original games (168 for savestates, et maybe 12 for sram files). So 80mo are left, and I wonder if I could stuck 10 games (roughly 20 mo compressed) + 4 saves files each, knowing that save-states only alreay take 100mo.
To sum up, if 40 savestates would take only 60mo, it would be perfect for me. Is it possible to achieve?

No, I can not confirm the size to be smaller. My 50 second rewind state for A Link To The Past is about 2 Megabytes, as is the 5 minute rewind state for EarthBound.

EDIT: and before anyone asks: yes, aLttP has a value of 600 whereas earthbound has 3600

Hi guys,
I have a question/doubt related to the SNES mini... when you install the "extra space" mod you can use 50 MB of unused NAND memory to store the savestates, but I didn't understand well if (after installed the module) it's also possible use the "standard" free NAND memory when the 50 MB are full... thanks in advance for the answers! :)

I have the answer at my first question (thanks to Drakonas)... when you install the "extra space" mod you can no longer use the "standard" free NAND memory to store the savestates (so you have "only" 50 MB for the savestates) ... I don't know if in a next "extra space module" release will be possible use both memory areas (standard free NAND and unused NAND partition).

Anyone tried rendering ranger r2? First time i tried it was Only a few minutes then it went black, but i still saw the borders.

Its a japanese game and hakchi ”fixed” it when i added it, so it runs via retroarch... but maybe not that great of a fix?

Anyone have a picture of using "pages" to sort the games?

Originally I sorted all of my games into first-letter folders with custom icons. It's kind of cumbersome navigating through, especially when the folders don't have many games in them. Anyway, just looking for suggestions.

Bug is always on the last version retroarch 1.0b : retroarch don't save configuration (retroarch menu > settings > onscreen display > onscreen overlay > Display Overlay)
I have a problem with 2.21b (2.0.21.32) that I don't have with old version 2.20 : 'Overlay Display' is always ON.

I put 'Display Overlay' OFF, save retroarch.cfg but when I exit game and relaunch it, 'Display Overlay' is always ON !!!

The solution it's always to back version retroarch 0.8 that work fine. I can put 'Display Overlay' OFF and save retroarch.cfg
I just realized that problem is not hakchi2 2.21b but retroarch 0.9c.
I replaced retroarch 0.9c by old version 0.8 and all is OK now.

@Cluster can you fix the problem? Thanks.

mmh i set the new nes games in the hdmon folder and upload it with the hmod

Did you manually change the file directory to match where you put them or did you add the generated file path to the SNES through FTP? This is giving me such a time and all the added games are showing C7 errors when I try to run them even if it shows the art and name.

Here's what mine looks like. Folders are as follows, from left to right (number of games in parentheses):
Game Boy Advance(20) - SNES A-D(14) - SNES E-K(13) - SNES L-0(13) - SNES P-S(21) - SNES T-Z(14)
