Save states, CORES, etc can be taking up space. Install the extra space hmod in LATEST Hakchi, to help gain back some space. Each Canoe save takes up 2 Mb!

Sorry what i meant was that i flash back to my original kernel first and then i did custom flash but still only shows 160 megs of free space even without adding games, no saves, no cores, is that normal?

Was it a save state that was created before adding --retroarch to the command line? I had some save states created while playing on Canoe emulator but then added the --retroarch command to it due to sound or graphics issue. The save state only loaded blank screen from then on. I learned this lesson with Earthbound... Hope that helps.

nope a fresh rock and roll racing save state, can anyone test this ? create a game do 1 race save state on slot 1 power off snes power on snes load state you will see it does nothing if it works for you please post your command line many thx

A friend of mine is not able to execute hakchi.exe. He says that this is the error he is getting while the tool doesn't start at all:
"When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box."

A quick google search revealed that this is related to MS .NET Framework, so I recommended to update his installation. Unfortunately that didn't help.

Does anyone have an idea?

I'm assuming newer is better...
USA FW 2.0.7 => Canoe-SHVC 2.2.0426.0
USA FW 2.0.14 => Canoe-SHVC 2.3.0531.0

Additionally there was a newer MALI video drivers in FW's 2.0.13 and 2.0.14.

Again assuming here, but if Nintendo engineers didn't need to fix any issues, I wonder why they would go through the trouble of releasing new builds.
Did you ever get anywhere with this?

And why wouldn't one want to use snes9x exclusively, isn't it much better?

I find it not to be better. Yes, it has greater compatibility but snes9x has a higher input lag. Games that require precise controls (like super mario world) are - at least to me - unplayable on retroarch. Canoe is the first time in ages I can enjoy this game on my HDTV without throwing around the controller in frustration.

When you say so, do you Snes9X in general (i.e. last version on Windows), or specifically on Snes Mini hardware?
I played many Nes games with Retroarch on NesMini. Did you experience the same input lag?

I don't play on my PC. But the issue is with any device running retroarch. The input lag is noticeable on SNESC, NESC, PSTV and Raspberry Pi 1/2. I don't know if retroarch or the snes9x core is to blame.

No, snes9x runs some games noticeably worse. Maybe if we could use snes9x 1.54 it'd be a different story, but snes9x 2010 is very old/outdated. It runs most games fine but it's not really superior to canoe for all games. Better to run games in canoe if they don't have any obvious glitches, and switch to retroarch if they do.

I wish someone would make an HMOD for snes9x 1.54 though, that'd be great.

Is it possible that you mean different things? The console itself is in a little white plastic bag. The whole package is only in paper.

No, I am not talking about inside the box with a little white plastic bag which I do have that. I am talking about outside the whole package with crystal clear plastic so tight on the package.

Mine did not come shrink wrapped. The cardboard box was not wrapped in plastic.

In the store where i bought it, they where shrinkwrapped, when asked about it (cause i never seen them shrinkwrapped in other stores)
the guy told me, they shrinkwrap all those things themself, just to be sure when bought, it isn't messed with by other persons in the store.

When loading the games onto my Classic SNES, they are in their respective FOLDERS however not in ALPHABETICAL order... how can I arrange the game titles in the proper alphabetical order ? I think I remember I had the same issue on my NES Classic & was able to fix it I just forgot how.

Keep hitting select until you get to the alphabetical sort type.
