I think the main character is standing in front of the slime garden.
I'm 100% sure it's DQM:J, but not very sure that the guy that the main character is talking to is the servant who guards the slime garden.

I never thought that was a dog when looking at the photo. Even after reading silverspoon's post I couldn't find the dog. After looking at it again, I finally found it but I don't think it's a dog.
I can run my DQM:J and stand in the same spot to figure out what it is. Probably a pillar though. Give me ~5 minutes I'll update you.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons. -

Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.+1

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
