OK Thanks for the help guys, I have two seperate questions.

1. Is it safe to go online with my O3DS with Custom Firmware installed with Pokemon Sun/Moon on the FreeShop
2. Is it safe to use my legit (as in paid for) Pokemon Bank with said FreeShop Pokemon Sun/Moon?

Thank you.

I just wanted to explain a but further since your question was answered.

Games that are installed from the FreeShop are downloaded from the official Nintendo CDN; the exact same server the eShop downloads its titles from. That said, the console (other than a comparison between device ID and RSA signed tickets) has no way of knowing if you actually purchased the game or not. The console thinks you did, and it will work like any other game you actually purchase and download from the eShop itself.

As long as the title ID of the game is the official one, even ROM hacks are recognized by the PokeBank :D (Albeit, the pokemon are most likely too illegal to use it Lol).

Thank you, that actually explains a lot. Extremely handy to know. Didn't know about the Pokemon Bank thing though. I've been given some questionable Pokemon before but I never thought the bank would accept any old thing.

You'd be surprised. The Pokemon Bank is less sensitive to hacked pokemon than the actual games Lol.
