Hacking [QUESTION] Will modding level and coins cause a ban?

Hi,
I recently went back to Splatoon and found this (Splatoon Modding Hub).
The thread warns about bans and says that unvailed stats can cause a ban.
My question is, if I edit my level, coins and (maybe) see-nails, can it cause a ban?

most likely, yes. the only bans I've heard of with the wii u involve cheating. it may only be cheating on other players though. doing that may also cause a ban, so I wouldn't do it.

The things is, I didn't see any reports about bans from this. The only warning I see is about invaild stats, like in Pokemon.
Does anybody know if online matching keeps track on your stats?

You can edit Level, Coins and Sea Snails to any number without consequence.

I should specify though that there are things that unlock at levels 10 and 20 so if you're below those levels and edit to get higher than those levels Nintendo will catch on

ok, so i'll edit coins for now, and when i get to level 20 ill mess up with my level
