yeah guys playing banjo tooie with 1.21 ghs vs 728 mhz is just amazing, full speed and very smoothly you guys cant beleive it how well not64 now runs every game that had speed issues :P
I've missed something how do we use N64 roms now playing Banjo Tooie with wiiiu? where do I get the Not64 channel from to work with this I presume you put the Not64/roms & saves folder on your sd card for this too work and put your N64 roms into the "roms" folder?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So rename the c2p.img to c2w.img?
So what are we able to do with this? is this to do with using N64 titles

Hi everyone,
I've been able to use the script with Nintendon't and it works great on my Wii U. However, unless I manually enable the memory card emulation every time I start the game, the game complains that no memory card in inserted (save file appear to be retained). Since I want to use autoboot I can't fiddle with settings at each start, is there a way to permanently set the memory card emulation ON, so I can actually save my games? I tried to search in several ways but didn't find anything.
Thanks

I'm just as confused as you are, not 100% sure on the process to setting this all up. Hope there'll be a script soon.

  • Launch Nintendont from the Homebrew channel
  • Configure the settings the way you want
  • Launch a game from the SD Card so the configuration saves
If the configuration isn't saving there might be something wrong with your SD card.

not possible atm, because only the wii classic controller and wiimote can be emulated

Thanks for the answer. Since I only have a handfull of Guitar Hero / Rock Band titles and do not play them as much as other games, I'll probably use wiiflow or cfg usb loader to load them from a SD Card in vwii mode. The weekend gives me time to do some reading on how things work and then I will decide if all of this is worth the effort or if I'd rather wait until I can buy a second external HDD for WiiU stuff.

I wasn't sure if it was a similar usage to the Nintendont channel, you install Not64 as a channel on your wiiu menu put your N64 roms on your sd card and load them that way? I cannot find any information on this about Not64?

Well then, I think I pushed everything I can, now its just time for people to try it out and maybe for this script to add some new stuff.
Right now all it will do is unlock the wii vc processor speed from the default 729mhz to a full 1.215ghz, possibly in the future more cafe2wii patches could be made though.
First, you will need a new version of nuspacker to allow packing with cafe2wii files:
https://github.com/FIX94/nuspacker/blob/master/NUSPacker.jar
Just replace the old one and thats all. Then, you will have to download OSv0 (0005001010004000) as well as OSv1 (0005001010004001) with something like JNUSTool.
Take the deint.txt and font.bin from the OSv0 code folder and put it into your destination code folder for a wii vc title. Then in the OSv1 code folder, put this:
https://github.com/FIX94/c2w_patcher/releases
Make sure to edit its starbuck_key.txt to the actual "wiiu starbuck ancast key". Then you should just have to run it, it'll output a c2p.img, put that into your destination code folder renamed to c2w.img together with the boot.bin and dmcu.d.hex.
After that, you can pack the title and install it.
Now after you have it installed, you cant just go ahead and use it, that'll just boot the normal cafe2wii without it unlocked. For this, I wrote a special IOSU patcher:
https://github.com/FIX94/sign_c2w_patcher/releases
All you have to do before launching the wii vc title is start this from the homebrew launcher, then the wii vc title you boot will be at the unlocked 1.215ghz.
To see this added speed in action, you can go launch something demanding like Not64 and WiiSX, though for the moment the probably most boring thing is this wii test app:
https://mega.nz/#!c9JAlY6a!jcFK-BefgJ808yTy4m5aepH-Q6rSunkJBKLLA-ktGfI
It will by default it will print you a clock of about 243mhz and a thread callback of about 95 times, if you have the extra speed it will sit at about 160 times though.

Thats is amazing! Thank you. Is possible to add those patches on Haxchi/CBHC?

I think I did it correctly but Im getting low fps in sotn in WiiSX? and golden eye on not64? I transferred the patched files to the base Code folder in the wii VC injector script app.

as I wrote, you always have to run the IOSU patcher from the homebrew launcher before booting the wii vc.
