No, Freeshop still works. However I see how that could be confusing since most people have CFW nowadays, so I'll remove that text.

It was but only for sending/receiving the hax, if you were lucky enough to receive one before Nintendo updated the app then it will still work.
Try the 11.5 payloads. I think they'll work with 11.6.

That's IMHO the best CFW (now with Rosalina) for 3DS. You could run any .cia, homebrew and emulator etc.
Of course some using are related to piracy, but you have a jailbroken 3DS in your hands.

I just don't see any real reason to go to 11.6 unless you play online games. Oh well xD

I did have 11.4 initially, but now it's 11.5, working fine on my 2DS XL with all the hacks installed.

I just updated my New 3DS to fw 11.6 and freakyhax still works. (using 11.5 otherapp payload)
What do you expect? I don't own some of these games to check the hacks myself, so I have to take other people's word for some of it. If someone says something doesn't work, I just assume it was patched until someone proves them wrong.
If it's a *hax game entrypoint, assume it still works. Those are patched with game updates not system updates. You can remain on the older version of the game it'll work fine. Exp: Steelhax, doodlebomb, freakyhax, etc, still work. You just have to update the otherapp payload.
