The save data is on the console so unless theres a way to access the save data and extract it from the system then no.

Damn. Nintendo and its crap. Maybe somebody can make a hack for the switch by making a program that auto starts when you turn on the switch or open a game, by putting said program on the microSD card.

Anyone got one? Also a tutorial would be nice as well.
to way oversimplify, nintendo encrypts the saves, and only works for your console/user. You would need to know the key to this encryption in order to decrypt it (so you can edit), edit it, then re-encrypt it (so the switch acknowledges it as legit)

This is the same for the other console makers, sony and microsoft, and it's been this way for a long time. Only reason you can do it on the 3ds or wii/wii u is because they've been hacked and the key to the encryption has been found. Until that's found for the switch, there's no way to decrypt it, edit it, and re-encrypt it.

Expect it to take a year or two before this changes.

If it's so easy, then why don't you do it yourself?

Go on
Extract the save, modify it and reinsert it with PegaSwitch then

OP will be grateful
You realize I was responding to a "I don't think that's possible atm" not a "I don't think you could do that atm", right? It's clearly possible atm, it's just that no one has put the time into implementing sm:hax.
