Hi. My 64 GB microSD card is almost running out of storage space - 7 GB left. Owned a New 3DS XL.
I have about 180 games downloaded (according to 3DSident), not worrying about hitting 300 title limit BS.

I would plan getting one for expanding the storage and downloading even more games off freeShop. I'll go for SanDisk (my favourite brand), but it has different types for black one; Ultra, Ultra PLUS, Extreme PLUS, PRO, etc.

Here's a link with a list of mSD's: https://www.sandisk.com/home/memory-cards

Which I should go for?

Is it a good idea to pick one that its write speed is 100 MB/s (max amount) to deal with loading times?

Well i believe UHS just means higher read / write. I'm not saying you can not use a card with 150 mb read write. But i don't believe it will affect the 3DS. I usually buy the fastest card but this was just on hand so i went with it. The problem with buying cards it they just keep making them, First it was class cards, then uhs, then u3, then v30 and a1 (thats a steak sauce pfft) then uhs 2 lol

I would say if you can, just get the black and red extreme card with the u3, uhs 1 and v30 label.

I believe 3DS family is capped at class 4 speed, whatever that was. It'll help you copy files to the SD card faster on the PC, but it won't really matter to the 3DS.

as long as its class 10, youll be fine. uhs speeds are for more recent hardware (cameras, computers). id bet if you had a class10 card in one and a uhs3 card in the other, you couldnt tell the difference.

SanDisk Ultra or Samsung Evo, whichever is cheaper for you. They offer similar R/W speeds and both are high quality. SanDisk weirdly has a 80MB/s model and a lower speed model with very similar pricing (at least last time I checked) so go with the faster one if you can find it, although it doesn't matter much for the 3DS.

Class 4 is 4MB/s. 3DS exceeds that by a lot, but it's still capped at something like 20MB/s IIRC. There's a benchmark homebrew and a thread with results.

I have SanDisk class 4 that says 15MB/s on it in my 2DS. I can't be bothered to look it up, but I'm pretty sure most of it is marketing and there's a wide range of speeds.

That looks less like a good deal and more like a scam. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, especially if it is not sold by a large, reputable vendor.

Rule 1 of buying SD cards or other flash media: don't cheap out and buy from some sketchy dealer.

Yes, around 40 Euro should be okay, also I found other one that is €99 in other shop... wtf :wtf:

64 gb one was around 30 Euro and it was not fake as I bought it and tested it.
