Is there anyway to add new Codes to the Trainer?

You have to run TCPGecko through loadiine.ovh or Homebrew Launcher. If you don't have the "wiiu" or "apps" folder, DON'T use Homebrew Launcher

I have downloaded the trainer and set up the gecko on my Wii U but every time I try to connect it thinks for a while and then says that connection to tcpgecko has failed. I have tried using multiple different geckos, as well as different computers with the same result. I'm sure I got the IP address right and the problem is not with the Wii U since other trainers work with it perfectly. I'm using disc PAL MK8. Anyone knows what might be the problem?

It wont even connect or do anything for me i keep pressing connect and it just stops responding then when it recovers it doesnt even connect.

Thank you very much for this tool. My Wii U borked all my save files, and Mario Kart matters the most to me. I can play again without having to complete everything from scratch!

Im done trying to get this to work, Everytime it connects it will just freeze the entire game ;-;
Trying using TCPgecko from store, Random downloads and even tried Geckiine.

Note: Other trainers work for me like Zelda, Xeno etc.

you need the tcpgecko from this 7z https://gbatemp.net/attachments/mario-kart-8-trainer-tool-7z.85270/ put the wii u folder on your root of your sd card!

If you are on 5.5.2 without haxchi no chance to use this. On 5.5.1 use the browser exploit.

I added all amiibo costumes. Worked great thanks. Any way to save this to my save file so I don't need to do this everytime I start the wiiu ?

Edit: There is a "save" button, but didnt work. maybe i need sig patches active. will try again with mocha. exporting save worked. Great work!

You need to make the game save normally. Play a time trial, do a grand prix. It'll keep the unlocks.

*sigh* it's not working for me. Yes, I'm running the modified Version of TCPGecko packaged with the trainer, yes other trainers work just fine, yes, I'm running it through hbl, yes, I've used loadiine.ovh and standard Browserhax, yes I have updated everything I can short of the system itself (it's spoofed 5.5.2), and yes, I'm using the correct IP address. I run hbl, load up the TCPGecko supplied. The system then goes back to the menu. I load up MK8, go into the race selection. Then I run the trainer, put in the WiiU's IP address, press connect, and after 30 seconds it says it cannot connect to TCP Gecko.

Thanks so much. Used it purely to get all the amiibo costumes, cause I knew I was never gonna get those legitimately. Did a quick time trial to save it (as @Anthe up there suggested) and then turned off my system completely and reloaded the game to make sure it saved, and they were still there. :3

I will get the 10,000 coins for the last glider piece (and final kart piece) myself though. ONLY 400 COINS TO GO

I did exactly that, and I'm another one of those folks with a 5.5.2 Wii U... but, it's not working for me, despite putting in the right IP and everything. EDIT: Actually, scratch that. It works.

Hi! First of all, thanks for making this trainer. I'm new to homebrew and it took some work to understand what I needed to do, but I figured it out after a while and it worked like a charm.

I'm wondering if anyone knows about the unlocks you get from collecting coins, and whether or not they're retroactively rewarded if you increase the coins collected past several unlock steps. Since I've already collected 10000 coins on another console once, I didn't want to do it again, so I just entered 9600 into the trainer right away, figuring that reaching 10000 will unlock the gold glider as well as any previous unlocks that I've "missed", retroactively; but now I'm not so sure. Does anyone know, right off the bat?

Thanks for the tip, but I just wanted to know if anyone knew about unlocks being retroactively rewarded. I was able to test it myself, however, and it seems they are, but you only get one per coin unlock at a time - that is, every time you finish or exit a race, it checks to see how many coins you have and if you qualify for an unlock. It doesn't do all at once.
