Hacking 5.00m33-6 causing issues with my PRO-HG Duo 8GB stick?

So I haven't had my PSP for a while and as such I am super out of touch with the whole modding scene.

I am using 5.00m33-6 on my model 1000 PSP. I just got a new *GB memstick PRO-HG duo(HX8B model). I looked up compatibility from a Sony website and it says I am good.

It is however not reading that there is a memory stick installed. I know the PSP is functioning properly as it is reading my old original one that it came with. This however is not enough space for what I want.

I do not have another way to test if the memory stick is what is screwed up. Any other info you guys have would be amazing.

WOW 5.M33-6....thats ancient dude...like the Dark Alex days old. But its a new memory stick right? format it to FAT32 and see if it works after.

Format the Memory Stick with your PSP

My PSP doesn't even recognize there is a memory stick to be formatted. When I tried it said "no memory stick found".

P.S. It is indeed old, my PSP sat in a box in storage for the past maybe six years. Hell the PSP it's self is a 1000 model I literally bought the day they were released.

Plug it into the PC...and manually format it. If its the wrong filesystem type I doubt its gonna recognize it. But hey maybe u just got a bad stick. (Id update that firmware if I were u tbh but its prolly not the issue)
