Reminds me of when I was 14 and tried to install a modchip in my Sega Saturn... while the power plug was plugged in. Cue me accidently pushing the on button and shocking myself. But damn, submerging an Xbox console into water? Did his warranty run out that he had to try and fix it himself?

Disgusted at people that will blame Microsoft...Kids growing up with Xbox's are getting stupider everyday. His parents should buy him nothing but brain training games. I mean, how dumb can he be? You never hear of this happening often or hear this advice come from the internet. And this kid is entering high school in 1 or 2 years!

If the kid had a good lawyer, he could sue microsoft; blaming the problem on short warranties and high failure rates.

absolutely not..microsoft did not even give him a the smallest notion about submerging the PS in water. oh, and don't forget about how many lawyers microsoft has too. it was probably someone on an 360 forum joking around about how to fix his system, and with this kid being so young(dumb), he decided to try it.

Sounds as smart as my brother from when he tried to make fries in oil on an open stove, and got the advice from Star Wars Galaxies forum.

O sht. They took him to Transylvania! Home of the vampires!

EDIT: Wait he probably lives there

Anyway. He was pretty much an idiot. Which website gave him the "tip" to submerge the power supply underwater?

@4saken how can one such as yourself be unaware of neutrino induced flux resonance of the retual coils, water has been shown on many an occasion to be just as effective as any of the commercial products.
