This phone is more CPU and GPU oriented
CPU: Mediatek MT6580 Quad Core clocked at 1.3 Ghz
GPU: Mali 400
RAM: 1GB (really the only thing that is lacking)
Stock Android 6.0
Screen: 1280X720 IPS panel

The GPU that comes with this phone is actually considered the most popular android GPUs of all time, and is featured in over 20% of Android phones. Not to mention, the Mali line of GPUs are in direct competition with the Adreno line...
I really can't stand 1gb ram from previous android phone use, thanks tho

Not really. It's just display and I don't want to know how quickly it drains that battery.
Is adreno 530 not good?
I thought it's a 2k beast

Why do people think Phone gaming is good? Besides Snake Xenzia and Sudoku, I think it's a lost cause.
I need it for on the go bro.
My PS vita and 3ds don't have walking dead season 3 or NBA 2K17 nor do they have GTA San Andreas.
Developers are making great games for mobile but I need high specs to play them with no lag.

I won't stop you, but I recommend PC a lot more.

If you are willing to search for a while, you can get a phone that will do high-end gaming for a lot less. I managed to snag a phone for $70 that plays most high-end games at Ultra Settings 60 FPS....

Tests: Epic Citadel, Dead Trigger 2, and Shadowgun run at the highest settings at 60 FPS or above.
Emulation through Retroarch is perfect (using FCEUUM, SNES9x, MGBA, and Genesis Plus), especially with my MOGA controller...
I've also played Undertale on it, it runs perfectly as well (though a potato can run that game XD)...
phone name?

It used to be like that, though now there's some good games. Not to mention, a lot of the console quality games on phone are compatible with wireless controllers. I've been playing Undertale on my phone lately because I don't have my 3DS on me...
If you have a rooted phone, you can emulate the Nvidia graphics drivers and play games such as: Portal, Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Doom BFG Edition, Super Meat Boy, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, and more. Unfortunately, people do not realize this and instead play Angry Birds because it's popular...

I can't believe you got me with that

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    That sounds really cool
