Dragon Quest: Builders 2 announced for Switch and PS4

Square Enix has announced the sequel to their 2016 title, Dragon Quest: Builders, a game that originally released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Simply titled as Dragon Quest: Builders 2, this time, the game will be releasing for PS4 and the Nintendo Switch. Not much was revealed, though the company said new features like gliding, underwater exploration, and a hugely missed feature in the original; online multiplayer will be included in 2. The game is currently in development, and has no release window.

not dead enough it seems
We need to have some kind of a standard. The last FIFA released on the PS2 was FIFA 14, by that point the PS4 was already out, it was hard not to call the PS2 dead. If there's no mainstream support and the hardware is discontinued, the platform is dead.

Well, it still have Persona 5 and 3 (dancing game) games coming and the infamous Undertale too so it not that dead.
Development on Persona 5 started long before the PS4 was in the picture, the game was supposed to be released winter 2014, it'd be odd if it wasn't on the PS3. As for Undertale, that piece of game maker garbage can run on a toaster, I don't consider a chappy indie title as mainstream support.

Can't get enuf of that dragon quest! :toot:

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

These game developers have absolutely no creativity. Minecraft ripped off of the gathering of materials and building of structures from real life. Breath of the Wild ripped off of hang-gliding, also from real life. Underwater exploration? Real life scuba diving does it better! Why can't games be as good as real life.

Lolol:rofl2:

The first was pretty awful. But online multiplayer is a huge boon, so maybe this one will actually improve enough to be a cool title.

I love dragon quest so I might be able to power through it even if it might be bad. I havent played the first one yet but I plan to.

So basically they ripped off Minecraft in the first one and now they're ripping off gliding from breath of the wild in the second one... and the underwater exploration is being ripped off from no man's sky? :P
To be fair, Breath of the Wild ripped off the hang glider from Cube World, which in turn is heavily inspired by Zelda in the first place. And Minecraft was inspired by Infiniminer. But why not take inspiration from other games that does things well? It would be worse to implement the features that are not so great.

Aaaaah yes! Switch Version gonna be great with the Handheld/Tv Setup. Basically what I loved on the PS3~4 and Vita with Cross Save but here with much less hassle to deal with.
