That patch for the PSP version translates items, arts, crafts, etc.
Hey, what patch for the PSP version translates items, arts, crafts, etc?
I can't find that anywhere. Only scena translation. Can you show me where to get that?

anyone wanna try my patched ISO for PSP version?
it got :
- translated scenario from kitsune's Excel
- Items, Arts, Crafts from FrantzX1's github/reddit links
- Voice Patch from ZhenjianYang's github
- semi translated "mini text" like name of NPC/Road/Place etc with Google Translate (no NPC dialog translated)

this patch isn't perfect and i haven't tried it far (only until the 1st healing point)
and my application isn't good enough to mark the right flag (\x01 \x02 \x03 in each last dialog box)
props to Sinh_Kresnik from reddit to create easy-to-follow guide
and flame1234 for matching kitsune's Excel with filename

Download Here

also i only tried this with Voice Patch, so i don't know what it'll do without za_voice plugin in PSP
i plan to start playing this weekend, hopefully no major bug/crash

PS: i can confirm this ISO works with PSV Adrenaline and PPSSPP with 64MB RAM enabled

Is this patch has translated dialogues to all chapters from prologue to epilogue?

most kitsune's translation should be there but maybe missing a few lines because my sloppy programming

I'm at the 1st mini boss from prologue, I found a few character lines untranslated (or not properly removed) but overall it should be enough to understand the story

Your patch, unlike @julialy 's actually uses all of kitsune547 translation. Julialy's seem to use about 30~40% and the rest is google translate.
Your patch works on ppsspp but crashes a real PSP. I think it's because i need some voice files.
Could you make an xdelta that doesn't require the voice patch? I mean everything except that, seems overkill.

I'll see what I can do

but I'm not promising anything here, because my programming skills kinda limited, applying the English text into scena files isn't straightforward. i need to manually edit ~50 files so it can be successfully compiled again

on the side note, I just beat the prologue boss battle. so far 3-4 lines are still in Japanese. and a few text overflow outside the box, I think this is the "special" dialog box flame1234 talk about before.

Well thanks for considering.
What does the voice patch adds anyway? I see them already speaking in the clean japanese version.

Gotcha, i got the audio files now...it's 1.25 GB for me it doesn't worth it but that's just me.
That's why i was hoping for a patch that didn't require them to run.

You can apply the patch over the original PSP Japanese ISO, I just tried and played all the prologue and it works fine.

One thing tough, this patch only translates the story dialog, it seems the npc dialog and minor dialog is not translated, in julialy's patch everything is translated although is machine translation.

Get it here :)
i only tried the first battle to test the text (Art/Craft). this should be the same as prior xdelta minus the voice patch
but i'm still suggest you play with voice patch, because hearing the voice really helps when the text isn't translated :D

at the last portion of Prologue chapter, there are quite a bit (~10 lines) didn't get translated
dunno why my program didn't pick that up  and some of them weren't in the Excel

oh well, since i can't wait any longer to play Ao, i think i'll play this version first and then replay it when proper translation released (still hoping XSEED will translate it officially)

btw, love your blog :yay:

I'll hold out for this to finish so I can play it on PC. Really don't want to suffer through playing on PSP again... but at least there's something now if julian were to disappear lol so that's appreciated.

For me it only worked on PPSSPP, my psp 3000 crashes (6.60 PRO-C fix-3)

Thanks for this, for me this would be the better version. I don't mind a few lines of Japanese here and there, at least the rest is human translated.
As for the extra audio i read it causes crashes when you pick up items on the floor (it was a reddit post).

Keep in mind that the spreadsheet only translated the exact path the translator took through the game. So picking different dialogue options may account for some of the Japanese being thrown at you. You could reference the spreadsheet itself whenever a dialogue choice comes up so that you follow the same path through the game.

Huh, nice. Although a lot does seem to be programmed to the framerate, so things move unnaturally fast at times.
