We tested all releases Swap DRC (1.0 and 1.1) and SwipSwapMe (PoC 0.1 and 0.2) in Lego City Undercover with the kids. The result:
- only SwipSwapMe PoC 0.1 has automatic startup without delay (family friendly) -
- only SwipSwapMe PoC 0.1 works more correctly with the TV button (quick switch) -
In other releases we have to push twice or more the TV button to clear message of "TV remote can be configured in System Settings." for quick switch. So at the moment SwipSwapMe PoC 0.1 is the best release for us because family friendly and more precise quick switch by TV button - thanks

I just updated our app to 1.1 with audio swapping support and added the TV button to swap the displays too in the repo. It's ready to update! :D

store has been updated to reflect the ypdate , thanks for letting me know , can you amend your meta.xml it crashes the appstore theres an error somewhere , also i need a category added... heres my meta for your app:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<app version="1">
    <name>Swap DRC</name>
    <coder>OatmealDome and Yahya14</coder>
    <url>https://gbatemp.net/threads/swap-drc-for-tv-only-wii-u-games.478026/#post-7458492</url>
    <version>1.1</version>
    <release_date>201707190000000</release_date>
    <short_description>Switch TV display onto the gamepad</short_description>
    <long_description>This tool installs Swap DRC TCPGecko and/or Cafiine into system memory.

    Switch the TV and gamepad display and the DRC sensor bar by holding the L shoulder button and then press MINUS.

    Special thanks to: Maschell, dimok, NWPlayer123, Brienj, and BKOOL999.

Thanks for all the hard work on this! I've tried out Tokyo Mirage Sessions, and the video swapping appears to work perfectly. However, the audio swapping only results in the music playing on the tablet. Voices and sound effects don't seem to play on the tablet while swapped. They also aren't playing through the TV; they just seem to be lost. I tested both SwapDRC v1.1 and SwipSwapMe v0.2, and both have this same issue. Let me know if more details would be helpful!

@Yahya14 @OatmealDome & eventually @Maschell can you please confirm me something ? Seems like Padcon was originally created in order to turn Off/On WiiU gamepad display, then it become SwipSwapMe and here we have SwapDRC (Or maybe Padcon & SwipSwapMe are two different function patched and not its evolution ?). I'm interested by swapping functions but I'm still interested by turning it on/off too, cause sometimes when I play some games with my girlfriend, I find it totally stupid to use more battery on gamepad just to have duplicate screens when I can direclty play on TV with her.

So my question is quite simple, is it possible to combine those functionalities (if it isn't already the case) under SwipSwapMe/SwapDRC or is it needed to use Padcon too ? Thanks !

Yep the game definitely has an issue with lack of voices and sound effects. Hopefully a fix can be found as thus is probably the only game I would need a screen swapping app for lol.

SwapDRC 1.2 is now available which has lots of code cleaning by maschell so we can use new function hooks if we have to :lol:. He also fixed the crashes in the home menu applets.

Maschell was a huge help with the audio swapping. I really wish the audio functions doesn't have issues with a couple of games. It doesn't make sense that these games aren't properly utilized to use the audio libs.

1000% possible. Tho that would mean to cram more features into SwapDRC like a tool all in one, and all these button combos for them can get out of control :rofl:. Better to use the Padcon as a seperate app if you don't need to swap screens during a gaming session.

Edit: what the heck happened to my last reply for some reason it glitched out :huh::rofl2:

So I went on Loadiine.ovh on my PC and I saw an app called "SwipSwapMe", any idea what this is? Apparently it's by Maschell himself
http://loadiine.ovh/gate/dl_details.php?id=35

From what I understand, Maschell recently created/rewrote a collection or library of function patches for the Wii U. To demonstrate the usage they adopted code from the core part of Swap DRC code as a demo app.

Hi, awesome app I have been using it for the last couple of days and have greatly enjoyed it. I wanted to ask if it would be possible to implement a feature to swap only the audio between the TV and the GamePad. It would be really useful for hearing TV only games' sound with headphones while using the TV from the GamePad's audio jack such as Mario Party 10 that output all the game audio to the TV while the GamePad only outputs Bowser's roars. Thanks!

We have to make difference between personal wishes (complicated) and public interest (easy and fun for everyone).
- we need a clean code, a clean functionality only to switch between TV screen and Gamepad screen (like SwipSwapME 0.1) -
- it's easy, family friendly and usable only to switch between TV screen and Gamepad screen -
- and needs complicated code for those who want different tweaks in the various games (like Swap DRC) -
So we have to make difference between our personal wishes (complicated) and public interest (easy for everyone).

Suggestion for SwipSwap ME (easy) and Swap DRC (complicated)
- hold down the TV button for 3 seconds to turn off/on the Gamepad screen -

I tried both SwapDRC and SwipSwapMe with TMS #FE and both had problems streaming the voice audio to the gamepad while the other sfx and bgm were mostly correct but more on one side of the headphones than the other.
Otherwise it works great regarding the video quality, I'm looking forward to what else they'll be able to pull off.

Just out of curiosity, thanks for your very had work on this project and recent update to v1.2 on the app. Just want to clear matters up a bit with yourself and also I don't want in any way to create a war between yourselves I just want to know, and this is up to the users discretion but could we know which app is better to use, more up to date features for example, is it yours or Maschells build or are they just on the same level but a bit different in his being able to choose button configs and yours basically the same or is yours better or his better, it may help out to decide quicker which app to choose? thanks.
