I've installed Retroarch as a module and it's working. How do I change the keys Start+Select for the Retroarch menu to work after a 5 second delay? I found the options within retroarch to change the keys but setting a delay doesn't appear in the menu. There will be small children using the system and we'd rather not come back to find the system needing reconfig. Thanks!

I have just a minor question.
It seems that if you add NES games, you can use the NESC standard filters on them (CRT / 4:3 / Pixel Perfect)

Except for games that doesn't work with the NESC Standard mappers and you need to use RetroArch.
My question is if I can enable the standard NESC filters on them, as example..

Batman Return Of The Joker.
The command line is: --guest-overscan-dimensions 0,0,9,3 --initial-fadein-durations 10,2 --volume 75 --enable-armet --retroarch

Do I need to alter anything in it, so standard NESC filters are enabled?

The built-in NTSC filter does not work well with the RetroArch games. KMFDManic made a really good CRT filter that works for RetroArch games. It's an HMOD you can install. Then you just set the NES to CRT mode, and it'll activate.

@NESjimbo I have tried this filter out.... really looks amazing.... in my oppinion it looks alot better even than the standard NESC CRT Filter...
I have applied it on all my games, maybe I'm mistaken but the games look more vibrant with it...
(It was a tedious work, changing all the command lines to --retroarch .... but tottaly worth it) XD

Kudos to KMFDManiac!! and Kudos to you for telling me about the filter NESjimbo...
There's so many posts in this thread I'm not following anymore :)

The built-in CRT filter smudges the image slightly (consistent with composite or RF) and mutes the color, that's why. KMFDManic's filter doesn't do that.

There were several people involved in this process, not just me. I did a ton of tweaking to get as many Cores functional with it, as possible. There was a ton of testing, involved, cores broken, slow, etc. Where it is at in the current iteration, only a few cores do not work optimally with it. Those ones, simply have 4:3 on for.

Code & Contributions by Tmnt4242, hizzlekizzle, Kobe46. I also credit any unknown contributors.

I altered how filtering works, linear, how scaling works, scanlines, and so on. I must have flashed my system a good 100 times to get the right settings, that I was happy with.

KMFDManic's Filter is da Shiznit!!

Remember, I am not the only one who worked on this! If you are familiar with my mega hmod thread, there will be amazing things to come, this weekend:) I got Commodore 64, 3do, and more working:) Here is the current setup. My next upload will be crazy with changes. But, a few things I got working in the last week or two, are Pokemon Mini Games, Game & Watch Handheld Simulators, Doom & Quake REAL, etc. And, there will be a few other surprises! One thing I tested, worked out quite nicely. I will not say what it is til I post it. Here is the link. Remember, if you update RetroArch, you must first Uninstall the CRT Hack, THEN, uninstall retroarch hmod, then reinstall retroarch hmod, then reinstall crt hack. Otherwise, lots of goodies in this set! And, the set of cores has been exponentionally expanded upon, throughout the last week. I plan on posting the fully updated core set probably by Mon am:)

I would suggest installing the "password" hack. It will require the Konami Contra code to be inputted to gain access to the system. If you are worried about the kids, the code will stop them. Keep in mind, the konami code also needs entered when "flashing", etc the system. It is locked, til konami code is inputted.

Uploaded set of over 60 New, Revised, Updated Cores! You can NOW play 3DO (Yep, got this one going:) (Master Bios Module Updated with 3DO Bios!) & Commodore 64 (This one, too!). Other bonuses to this newly updated set are: Sony Playstation Cheats! PicoDrive, PCE Fast, SuperGrafx Updated to work with CRT Filter:) If you decide to update RetroArch HMOD (which has updated version of Nestopia, as well as FCEUMM), make sure you first uninstall CRT Filter, then uninstall retroarch hmod, then install retroarch hmod, then finally, reinstall crt filter:) And, of course, all of the other cores I recently got running, are also included in this set...such as Game & Watch, Doom & Quake REAL, Pokemon Mini, and so on! For those of you who use Final Burn JUST to play CPS3, etc games...I did small versions of CPS1, 2, 3 2012, to help you save space! So, you can still use MAME 2003 for most needs, and small and convenient version of 2012 CPS3 for those games! Commodore 64 is tricky to run. So, avoid it if you are prone to frustration. I will post videos for both that, as well as 3DO, come Monday. Enjoy the set, for now! Now back to finalizing v2.5!

I can vouch for that. Street Fighter III: Third Strike works great with the CPS3 core. Switching from the FBA core to that saved me like 22MB.

Have you got a guide for running c64 as you mentioned it was tricky to setup? I'm hoping ik+ will run? :)
Edit: ik+ and many others run great once joystick is enabled..

So after I install this mod, go to display at top of screen and simply choose CRT Filer ans it will remain on until I choose 4:3 or pixel perfect.

Anyone know how to set up some sort of onscreen keyboard or define some controller buttons as specific keys for C64?
Pressing the y button on my snes 8bitdo pad pulls up the on screen keyboard and then press select to be able to move the cursor to a key). I've set my controller to the vice joystick and it's played my games fine.

I've tried a few game formats but this emu seems pretty slow at loading games (t64, prg, p00, d64...). Is there a way to boost loading times like you can with the zx retroarch emu Fuse?
