i bought a brand new official xbox360 controller last month but yesterday while i was playing it the controller stopped working all of the sudden, i didn't throw it against the wall or dropped it or anything, it just broke down on its own. obviously the store won't take it back since its well over 30 days.

so i was wondering if i can register my controller online for warranty and then send it to microsoft for repairs.

thanks for the help.

i tried to register my xbox 360 controller here, but it won't let me, i'm certain that i typed the serial number in correctly as i've already re-typed this in multiple times but to no avail.
it kept giving me the message "invalid serial number".

so what am i doing wrong?

thanks for the help!

@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".

Arsenic doesn't give you cancer either.

California has already banned those additives BTW.
