Hi, got a clean new 3ds xl on fw 11.2 still is it still hackable since you have to connect online with the cfw installation at some point irc? Is it better if I reformat my system and remove my nnid before any hacking with the ban wave going on?
Read through https://3ds.guide It's hackable. There's a red box with instructions to avoid bans in the getting started page.

I can ask questions about Hacking your 3DS and such right? So I have 3DS SysNAND Ver.7.1.0-14E, I installed my Gateway 3DS card on this device and then after a while a lot of games started not working, So I went in emuNAND and did a system Update while I had my Internet turned of, it told me update is done restarted and now I am stuck on a black screen everytime I open the Gateway site, This is the situation now for the question. I've seen a lot of sites and videos talking about Boot9strap and A9LH and as an extreme noob I just need to be spoon fed everything T_T. I've read Plailect’s guide but I just can't make heads from tails of what I need to do. I did the otherapp sound thingy but it froze the system and brought me back to the home screen and then I read that apparently I don't need to do it if my 3DS is hacked. So my question is can someone guide me through it or link me to a place where there is someone who can/will, I tried a lot of guides but I just can't get where do I start everyone uses A9LH and I think that that's the same as GW but then again I just really don't want to mess this up :( I would immensely appreciate any sort of help. Thank you

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also to add I have another 3DS Ver 9.8.0-25U and honestly I'd prefer if I can use this 3DS rather than the Europe one, I did use my Gateway card on this one for a while but my Sis updated the system and GW stopped working on it because the version was too high, but if I can install B9S on this or just go back to use this I would love nothing more
Go to Gateway's website and download the latest launcher.dat and replace the one on your SD card with the new one. Then you'll be able to boot into emuNAND (if you didn't update all the way to the latest - with the internet turned off hopefully your console only had an old update stored on it).

However, when you're done, I would recommend taking that opportunity to back up all your Gateway saves by following https://gbatemp.net/threads/importing-gateway-saves-to-cia-games.425743/ then follow https://3ds.guide/ from the beginning on your sysNAND, then install the games you had on Gateway (you can convert the 3ds files to cia using GodMode9 and install with FBI or download them again using freeShop) then import the save files you backed up previously.

If getting Gateway mode working does not work (it won't if you updated to the latest version as Gateway will not work over 11.2), then follow what I said above, and use 3DNUS to download the 11.2 update files and use sysupdater on your emuNAND to downgrade it. Then you can get Gateway working with b9s in order to get your save files. But wait until you're up to that then ask for help on that topic. First things first is following https://3ds.guide on your sysNAND.

You can use anything that can be formatted to FAT32, and you can format 32GB< SD cards to FAT32 with http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat.exe
In other words, as big as you can buy

EDIT; Copypasting works for transferring stuffs

Thank you madam, I'll try this out tonight and hopefully I won't have to come back for more questions.

That's a lot of extra work, honestly. An easier solution would be to forget about using the gateway, boot the EU system into sysnand, follow 3ds.guide completely and install b9s and Luma. Near the end of the guide, there is a box that says if you had an emunand before and want to move it to sysnand, do it now, with a link to instructions. Do this, it will move your gateway emunand to sysnand and since Luma supports the latest firmwares it will boot up fine with all of your gateway saves/games. You will lose any saves from your old sysnand, but most emunand users didn't have any.

You mentioned you tried soundhax, but you didn't follow the guide correctly. Your sysnand is 7.1.0-14E, so you need to use the homebrew entry listed next to 7.0.0-8.1.0, which is the browser method. The older system files in 7.1 aren't compatible with soundhax.

The guide walks you through every step, just pay attention to details, work from sysnand, and make sure to use the options that match your sysnand version.

Your 9.8 US system is compatible with soundhax, if you wanted to set up b9s there just follow the guide for a 9.8 system.

Don't you know that you have to be able to boot Gateway mode to be able to export the saves? This is bad advice.

I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but can someone who's beat Pokemon Moon upload their save file?
I want to get into online battling, but I'm too lazy to play through the game

Soo... I am having a problem with an error on my friends New 3ds black mario edition (the holiday 2016 one). US firmware.

An error occurred (ErrDisp) Process ID:21 Process name: qtm Process title ID: 0x0004013000004202 Address: 0x00103c60 Error code: 0xf96183fe.

The 3ds was updated to the newest firmware as of last week. I had put arm9loaderhax on it and hadn't updated to boot9strap yet. He never used cheats or homebrew, only basic eshop games. he didn't even play online as far as i knew.

He told me the error happened in the middle of playing sun/moon, then i began to happen on most boots.
What I've tried: Booting with/without a physical cart. I formatted and tried several sd cards. Then I followed the plialect A9LH to B9Sguide, completing up to the beginning of section V, where i need to open FBI. I still can't boot past the error screen, so I tried to delete the home menu ext data. Then I tried a CTRTransfer, following the plialect guide. I reached up to the last step of section 2, where i need to update the system. I still can't boot.

I have all the original files stored on my PC from the A9LH install. If anybody can help, I will check tomorrow June the 10th. I work 12 hr nightshifts so I appreciate any help.

I'm getting the black screen with error messages when trying to emulate GBA games after installing B9S. Is that normal? CIA injects work fine.

Hello everyone...
Does anyone know if it's possible to play extended ram games (Pokemon Sun/Moon, Mario Maker) online on an old 3DS on 11.3? I don't even think there's homebrew for o3DS on 11.4.

If you have 11.3 then install CFW https://3ds.guide
You should definitely be able to play them after installing CFW as you can then update to 11.4.

Just recently came back and I updated to 11.3 but couldn't update Luma with the app.
I have a9lh and everything. It looks like everyone changed to B9S or something?
What should I be doing to update my system to the newest?
