Since you're on a9lh you'll need the bin not the firm file.

Have a look at TitleDB in FBI, there's a list of homebrew you can download & install.

I installed A9LH about a year ago and haven't updated anything since. What happens if I try running a game that just released? Is there anything I should do first?

If the game requires the latest firmware and you are on an older one, it simply prompts you to update the system.
I highly suggest you to upgrade to Boot9Strap since A9LH is no longer supported.

Same thing happened to me. The problem turned out to be that I had the boot9strap folder in the wrong place. If it's not in the root folder for your SD card, make sure you put it there. If that doesn't fix it, maybe someone else has an idea.

I bricked my console by deleting CTR-N-HMME and CTR-N-HCSE. Is there a way that I can install them back with GodMode9 or some other B9S payload? (I downloaded CIAs for them with UpdateCDN).

Try a 9.2 CTR transfer: https://3ds.guide/9.2.0-ctrtransfer (assuming you don't have a NAND backup).

going furthur if you have a nand backup you can either restore that or decrypt the old nand and get your deleted titles back in your current one.

Ok, so i have a N3DS and i am trying to update a9lh to b9s/sighax, so i went to the sighax website and saw the updater.
When i replaced the .bin and loaded up my 3ds i get the blue screen and i followed the instructions, and it says Primary Firmware partition corrupted! backup file already exists, (in yellow text)
Then in red text it says failed to load new firmware installation failed.
Any help on how to get rid of this sighax blue screen so i can follow the guide?

It's a new day and I have some new 3DS problems - I now have a few consoles so will detail probs below, any assistance is greatly appreciated.

1) Old 3DS XL - USA version. I posted about this one a while ago, I had issues with safehax where the screen would go fuzzy and it was recommended that I reload all the files to the card after downloading. I tried that and now I am getting no power, the blue light flashes for a second and then goes off but no power at all. Any ideas? I suspect it may be a dodgy SD card so I am waiting on a new one to be delivered to 'start again' but how do I get it out of this 'bricked state'?

2) Old 3DS - UK version. I used a dodgy SD card from eBay (didn't know when I used it!) and all appeared to be okay, got to the point of about to do the NAND backup, had to leave it as something else came up and when I went back the same as with US console above. Flashing blue light on pressing power but nothing else? How do I get it up and running again?!

3) Another Old 3DS - UK version. This one was on firmware 4.something... I put in Mario Bros 2 and did the upgrade to version 5.something... but I still have no browser to do the hack. When I clicked on the browser the 3DS says there was an error and needs to restart? How can I get a browser on there to carry on without doing a 'Nintendo FW update' onto an 'un-hackable version'?

So, 3 3DS, 3 problems - can anyone help? I'm happy to provide images or more information. Let me know what you need!
