Hacking R4 3DS Dual core?

I want to get a R4 card, but I don't know which one to get and it's all worded very weirdly so I don't understand what it can/can't do. Basically I want an R4 card that can play dsi / 3DS games on a dsi/ 3DS
I used to have a bunch of games but I lost them all when someone stole my backpack at a gaming convention.
Honestly there's only a few games I want to rom, but I don't want to buy them again. Would the R4 3DS Dual core be good for that?

for your 3ds

if you want DS games you need a DS flashcart
most flascarts are DS MODE flashcarts
there are only like 2 real DSI games, and a few hybrids... (hybrids can run in flashcart in DS mode, dsi games only games will not run in DS flashcarts) i can't tell you much more about the dsi...

however for run DS games on the dsi you will need a DS flashcart for now

the words "dual core" is just bullshit
if it says 3ds, it usually means its another marketing scam saying it's compatible with the 3ds, BUT PLAYS DS GAMES
the only 3ds flashcarts are: sky3ds, gateway, and one r4 3ds something, and DSTWO+... but you don't need thoose if you follow the guide i mentioned above
you can't play 3ds games on a dsi because obvious reasons (they are different consoles)

on my DSi i'm using R4 Gold Pro with 1.4.5 and Acekard 2i with 1.4, working good

All r4 card (including R4 3DS Dual core) only support ds games on your dsi/3DS. R4I GOLD 3DS RTS is the most popular r4 card.
If you want to play 3ds games, sky3ds plus(skyds+) works on any 3DS console

Would sky3ds also support normal ds games? Like could I just load both 3d + ds games onto it and switch between the 3ds and dsi. Obviously I couldn't Pl ay the 3d games on the dsi, but would that work? Or is the sky3ds only play 3ds games?

use 3ds.guide to get firmware in your 3ds. you don't need a 3ds flashcart.
it's free...

for DS games, you can get an r4, doesn't matter much whihc, however i recommend the one above
