Apache Thunder posted a nice little tweet today where he posted a youtube video showing a Exploit POC for the DSi.
https://twitter.com/Tankerbot/status/879047695230529537
After watching the video it seems to be using a NTR Card for the Exploit and according to Apache Thunder this test was running on the ARM7 Processor of the DSi.
REMEMBER: This is a POC and still in testing and therefore not released yet. lease don't bug the Devs. Good things take time. And waiting all this time without DSi Hax we can surely wait a bit more for Either the DsiWare Hax by @Robz8 or this by NoCash, Gericom, Normmatt, and StuckPixel

@Darthsternie I didn't make the DSi hax.
Also, the rumored exploit may not be just for DSiWare, so it may be this, since we still have SD access with this.
If this exploit means code execution before the SCFG lockout, it's going to be the biggest hack the DSi has seen. I'm very excited to see what this team has put together.
That is true. When this hax is released, via SRLoader, we may get to play DS games from the SD card without broken sound!

Please don't call this buzz hax. The buzz sound shown really has nothing to do with what is happening (in terms of the exploit itself that is). I've already got a name for this and you'll know when I have something more substantial to show. ;)
Not going to say whether my speculation about SCFG control is accurate? You are a tease! :P

lol. Well quite a few devs already know what this is. Knowing the internet it may leak out what it does. But suffice to say while I don't have any official moratorium (not that I have any authority to do that anyways. :P ) on what other devs can say about this, I myself will refrain from talking too much about it until it's fully fleshed out. :D

Can't change the name in the title anymore though. I didn't want to call it NTRCardHax even though it sure looks like it :D

I can say the name I'm choosing doesn't have hax in the name. Too much stuff out there using the hax monocle. :P

I quite with I bought a DSi. I never would have thought so many years down the line that a community would form around it.

The DS and DSi is slowly but surely starting to edge itself into the retro category. I'm sure that may be one reason why things are starting to pick up again. :D

Think of it this way. I'm turning 30 next month. So DS/DSi isn't really that old from my point of view. But there are many many younger people here who were just little toddlers when the DS came out. The time is fast approaching that the DS/DSi will be retro from the point of view of a lot of people. ;)

I'd hesitate to call anything newer than a Dreamcast retro personally, but it does seem like the DS is having a bit of a renaissance when it comes to homebrew.
It may be a bit late, but it would still be wonderful to finally have the DSi fully hacked.

I love that the mostly forgotten DSi is getting attention. I'm hoping that in a future we might see it's full potential be used in homebrew and such.

On the topic of retro, I think the older you are, the further you have to go back to feel like something is retro. For me I'd have to pull out the Master System to feel like I'm playing something retro, especially now that a lot of 2d pixel games draw inspiration from 16bit days (Not to mention Nidhogg which goes even further).

Give a suggestion, so the OP can request a name change to the thread. Otherwise everyone will call it "Buzzhax."
