Hacking Pegaswitch on 2.3 Means Everyone Should Update Now If They Havent !

I have my Nintendo Switch on 2.1 but I want to buy Snipperclips.
Can I update to 2.3, buy the game and stay in that version for run Pegaswitch on it, right? (I want a second opinion before make something).

Just updated to 2.3 myself to get demos (I was on 1.0). I'm sure you should be fine. We may even be fine if Nintendo updates to 2.4+ (since ReSwitched wont share the code until Nintendo patches it on their own). We roll the dice but if I was going to bet, Nintendo may not fix this soon without their implementation.

SciresM I don't think this is bad advice. I thanked Xplic1T because here is the deal. Least how I see it. I see no offline update process for Switch. One just has to be there right? Right? Well I don't see one. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Here is the statement posted on their website:

"Important:
The Nintendo Switch console must be connected online to download a system update."

So if that is the case here is the scenario I pictured. You dutifully left your switch offline. Which uh kinda sucks. Especially since you can't grab Zelda Botw updates. You are on 1.0. You then find out after months (possibly years). Yay there is homebrew. But uh how do you get to the magic version that enables homebrew if there is no USB drive update process? Uh you kinda can't till it's divulged by Nintendo or someone figures it out. Another issue is since I don't see them posting the file on their site anywhere (or previous versions like 2.1, or 2.2) how would you even get that file to update. Lastly being on the latest version of the console is important in the Switch case because of the lack of games. You would want the most current possible to play the most games possible. Ideally. Least in my view.

Now I le mouse will play le game de le wait!

Thanks for your 2 cents. Guess you never had the need to buy anything off the eshop before... or even play anything online with your friends, if you even have any.

Just got my Switch today - it was on 1.0 so updated to 2.3. Bit of a noob, is there an easy way to switch off getting updates? It won't update automatically will it? Also, in very general terms, is this exploit for potential homebrew only? Appreciate any advice!

It's supposed to give you full access to run arbitrary code. So definitely keep on this version ... now we wait until some real progress is made. I'm glad they found a way to get this working again personally when before I've made a thread blasting them for releasing the POC so early.

uhh, ya, dam, scires definitely is a good contributer, gota thankem for what hes contributed

so if I'm reading this right, it's somewhat a way to run basic code on the switch, I feel like I'm reading this wrong on there page

do. not. update. just because we can run code with a Webkit exploit does not mean they're not patching firmware and kernel in 2.1+ to remove privilege escalation opportunities
