I've been playing this game for a while and I'm having random freezes on this game. I've had 2 so far, one in a battle and other in a level-up screen. I have a 1gb Japan Kingston =/ What do you think the problem is?

I don't use cheats either. I guess I'll download it again. Thanks for the advice =/ I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.

I used to have freezing issues on my Supercard Lite (where the big Yoshi climbs up the mountain), but didn't have any freezing issues on my R4 at all. Probably a corrupted rom, possibly even a bad connection with the R4 and DS?

I downloaded a new one and kinda blowed into the holes of my NDS and R4 in case of a bad connection or anything. It seems to be working fine so far. Thanks everyone for the replies =]

Just because you have downloaded another rom from another source, it doesn't mean your rom is 100% verified.

To check that your DS roms are 100% which will rule out if its the rom if something goes wrong is to use two things.

Use a rom verification tool such as clrMAMEpro and then use that with ADVANsCEne's latest DAT file.

Once you have checked all your roms, and they are verified then you can start asking questions or checking other possibilities why your game isn't working or freezing.

Although freezing may indicate that its your microSD card in the sense that's its far too slow. Buy a SanDisk ULTRA II 1Gb or 2Gb. According to reports, those cards are easy to get hold of and don't suffer from speed issues.

Well, I played right through the game with an R4 and Jap Toshiba 1GB (same as Kingston), and never had any freezing issues, so I doubt it is the card. In fact I think the Jap Kingston/Toshiba is the card most people recommend for the R4 for being very compatible.

Dude calm down. I never had any problems with my R4 before[this was the first time] and I searched for Partners in Time on R4 forum and no one really made a thread about the game so I was just wondering if it was something with R4.

That's why I suggested you verify your roms, how do you know it's your R4, your microSD card or the rom itself?

If you get into a habit of using clrMAMEpro and ADVANsCEne's latest DAT file EVERY TIME you download a rom, which will check the validity of the rom by its CRC32 check sum, once you know your rom is perfect, you can then start looking at either the R4 or more likely its your microSD card for any issues your getting.

The are a lot of fake roms out there on sites and P2P, you need to check that the one you have just downloaded is in fact the real deal.
