I crossed the road when the light was still red and some guy asked me "do you have an education?" I replied "yeah." Then he asked "then why did you cross the road?" I walked off and he told me he was calling the police.

So one time I was on a campsite there was a guy, around 16 or 17 I think driving around on a Bicycle screaming "I am gay,I want to suck cock" in German. It was quite clear that he wasnt German since he had like really thick accent while screaming it.To this day I still want to know if he was high or if it was a lost bet.

I deal with weird people everyday as I work in a very busy part of my city. During my lunches I go for a walk and I'm always being asked for money. Everything from their dog, cat, family member died to needing money for food.

Nothing crazy more annoying.

I work in at the local pool. There is no shortage of strange things you see, especially in the change-rooms. But I guess that the most recent one to stand out was a old lady coming up to myself and a co-worker and started ranting to us. Went from casual racism towards Asian people, to her son's failed marriage, to listing off her favorite tea and coffees which she isn't allowed by her doctor to ingest any caffeine (She also made a little comment of liking African tea whilst gesturing towards me, since I'm sort of non-descriptive brown. I'm Fijian/Australian), to her bowel problems and that's why she can't go into the pool and bathtubs.

not exactly weird but a few years ago I was on a walk alone at night (probably shouldn't have done that) and I was walking up hill headed home. There's no lighting on this particular road so its pitch dark. I see a man moving around ahead of me so I try not to look at him and act more absorbed in my music even though I turn it down in case something happens. As I get closer he starts talking to me, trying to get my attention. I keep walking but he puts his hand on my shoulder. I can either run or engage. I chose to turn around and pull my headphones off to listen to him but I'm on alert. I'm pretty weak and I don't habe a weapon so if anything happens I don't know what to do. He asks if he can use my phone. He's looking for his own phone that he dropped and he wants to call himself on my phone. I hand over my phone and he calls his number. His phone starts ringing and lights up in the grass next to the sidewalk, pretty much right next to his foot. He thinks its funny and he hands back my phone, grabs his off the ground and thanks me. I head on home unharmed. I meam overall nothing happened but this was probably irresponsible of me considering I didn't live in the safest area and I had pretty much no was to defend myself, but at the same time I helped him find his phone.

Oooh seeing this thread bumped reminds me of a funny story when I still worked at the pharmacy, a couple of months ago before the Coronabeer mass panic.

I was working as a floor clerk. Basically handling the customer service, and moving things around, taking deliveries and placing the stocks in aisles, or cleaning when needed.

Anyway.

That day I was taking care of my business as usual, when that nice lady with a pretty thick accent came and started to talk with me a bit.

She introduced herself, and she was pretty open about herself, telling me where she was from, and that she was looking for some gifts for her daughter.

Since it was part of my job, I took all the time she wanted from me, and to be honest it started to get weird pretty quick...

So after some chitchat while I was sticking magnetic tags on packs of different medicine boxes she told me that I looked really pretty, and she was glad to see busy workers like me.
Oookay, I guess.
Then she asked me where to find jewelries, cosmetics, and accessories.
So I kept going, showing her where to find what, and she was pretty happy.

So then she turned to me while looking at the accessories, and asked me to try one of the bracelets.
"You are about the same size and shape of my daughter" she said.
"I would really appreciate if you tried some of these for me. I want to be sure it would be the correct size for my daughter!" she added.

Alriiiight. I guess I could help her. Not like I was very busy anyway.
So I do what she wants. Try out a few models. She seemed pleased.

"Can you also try this necklace too? My daughter would love it I know!"

Uhm sure I guess.
I do as requested.

Once again, she was happy of the result.
I was getting a bit embarrassed with this comical situation, but since it was part of my job, I played along.

After a few minutes, and after more stories about her country and family, she asked me where to find hair accessories.

"Oh god dammit." I thought.

Good thing I was paid for that sort of thing, I was technically still doing my job after all.

Aaaand you guessed it. She asked me to try out accessories, like ribbons and pins, just to see how it looked like on myself to, and I quote "have a guess about how it would look like on her daughter".
I still didn't even know her name, but once again did what she asked me.

The discomfort was building up as I tried a bunch of scarves, and I kept looking around nervously in hope to find one of my coworkers.
Of course everyone but the cashier were at their lunch break.
That cashier was also observing from a distance with a very confused stare too...

So after all the things I tried for the little lady, she thanked me from the bottom of her heart, smiled and went in a different section to look at other things.

I took a few minutes to process the awkward moment with a total stranger, and went back to my stickers.

As I was filling another cart with stocks for shelves, my good friend the foreign lady came back to me with another question.

"I need help with the clothing shown over there" she said.

"Oh no" I thought.
I already saw it coming.

"I would like you try some of these shirts and that dress. I am certain you wear the same size"

Needless to say, I immediately told her I was sorry, but I couldn't try the clothing for her, and hurried my ass off to the backstore.
I probably spent over 10 minutes pretending to be busy there, just to make sure she eventually quit the store.

A moment later I went back to the floor, looking left and right in case she was still around and waiting for me.

Another coworker, on break, who witnessed the last part, came close to me and said that she paid her things as soon as I ran away, and she left.
She was just as confused as I was.
I don't think strangers just ask random people to try stuff like that. Lol

So that was the story.
Without exaggeration, I probably spent over 45 minutes with that lady, until it became too weird.

That was definitely the weirdest experience I had at work for a really long time, hahaha
