I'm not sure but wouldn't Gateway have to support B9S for it to load .firm over .bin? Unless you chainload it through Luma I guess.....

.firm for Emunand9 -latest version 20160919. Tested and working.

Could you redo it for Decrypt9 (20170414), EmuNAND9 (20170118), and Hourglass9 (20170320)?
Here are the one's you requested.... I also included SafeMode9 (20170415) and SafeCTRTransfer (20170508).

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Help if I uploaded them. Sorry for the 3x post.

Currently every CFW converted with that tool fails to boot, I would know because I sent both Corbenik and ReiNAND to test. Both of them resulted in a black soft-locked screen and chances are extremely high that gateway will result in the same thing.

Yeah he said it didn't work. Good to know though! Thanks for testing the others :D

Well if anyone cares, I tried it with Bootanim9 as well to no avail. Even tried editing the payload to look for "boot9.firm" instead of arm9payload, and same thing. I'll wait for someone else or @Wolfvak to look into it.
I heavily suggest you suggest this on this his thread
https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-bootanim9-custom-boot-animations-for-arm9loaderhax.420202/
He tends to respond better when you keep suggestions, issues, etc., contained to the main thread.

Looking at the way luma is converted to a firm, it uses the elf file and not the a9lh.bin. Try using that instead for Corbenik and other CFW's. The command would be firmtool build test.firm -e 0 -D <.elf> -C NDMA
I will give them quick test later since I am actually extremely tired. Spending the whole night testing and working on sighax related stuff can tire a girl out.

I would do it myself, but I'm too lazy to figure out how to use corbenik
I think it might just be faster if I hit up one of my friends to help out then. Sending a few messages, testing will happen when I awake from my dark slumber.
Edit: Turns out one of the builds was already made with the .elf version. So that won't work either.

Gateway firm payload if no one did convert it yet
I tried to, but the arm9payload.bin for Gateway I found on the site was only like 6kb, and when I converted it 7.05kb. I'm curious if the payload you used was larger, or if you did something differently.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
