I miss how the scene was when it was the era of the old xbox.. was amazing when people made XBMC!.. but then xbmc became its own beast :P anyway, imagine something like XBMC or even FreestyleDash (for 360), but in the wiiU with the gamepad and touch screen cam gyro etc.. would be amazing.
...but until we have a proper way to restore our nand, the risks are to big for most people to go ahead making and testing big stuff.. like an alternate sys.menu ...
redNAND exists for this purpose. You can even swap redNAND's files and see if it boots.

Yahhh i never liked rednand but to be honest but i dont know much about it yet sooo... is there any downside in using rednand? Any performance drop or longer boot or load time ? Does the rednand actually launch at boot, or though HL? When using rednand, is it possible to install haxchi coldboot on the rednand or is it still gonna be in the main nand since its the system config?

/people who actually like the Wii U's dual screen nature and want to do crazy things like run two instances of lightweight emulators (such as Game Boy) at once or even just unlock the replay encoding capabilities of Smash Bros..
...that too. Lol, I like it as well, for the most part but seeing as hardware wise, the switch is basically a handheld Wii U I hope someday we can do the same things on both.

Is there any tutorial or something?
Download vmware or use virtual box becuase I'm pretty sure vmware costs money, get a Windows iso using a product key, (or don't ;)) then setup a machine in either software using that iso. Virtualbox only supports Windows x32 so if your using that don't get a x64 iso, get a x32 or x86.

redNAND boots from Mocha CFW with redNAND option set to ON or CFW Booter.
You don't need to install CBHC in redNAND, it's useless.
