Gba sp new buttons. 1 wire 2 inputs issue

I have a control pad I want tu solder connections from.
To override buttons on a gba sp motherboard.

The problem is the control pad has 1 output wire per button.

And the GBA board requires 2.

Should I connect the control pad to the "receiving" points?

You'll need to run a wire (2) for each input to the relevant traces on the controllers pcb unless the gba and the controller use a common ground
